One of the highlights definitely had to be the whole school trip to walk the Hatea Loop. What a fantastic day was had by all, and logistically it went off without a hitch. Taking 520 children on a school trip was quite an undertaking. The senior children enjoyed a day at the Whangarei School Winter Sports Tourrnament, where they played either hockey, football, netball, basketball, table tennis, turbo touch or gymnastics. We also had a group of children that headed off to the annual 10 Pin Bowling Tournament. They performed really well, with the following teams qualifying for the finals: Snakes on a Lane, The Alley Gators, The Rolling Pins, The Turkey Baggers, The Lord of the Pins (top score for the day). As the term draws to an end, we hope that you all have a well needed restful holiday and that the children manage to fight off the winter ills that so many of them have succumbed to at the end of this term. We will see you all back at school on Monday 24 July ready to start the new term. We would like to remind you that we have a Mid Term Break on Monday 28 August. Onerahi School will be closed on this day. Staffing Staffing Staffing Staffing I have been awarded a terms sabbatical leave from the Ministry of Education and will be taking it next term.
