• Essential know-how for working in the field of Supply Chain Management such as Purchasing and SCM, Materials Handling, Vendor Management, Logistics Management, Performance Management, Operations Management, IT and Supply Chain Management

• Inventory Management – Types of Inventory, Inventory Classification and Strategies, Inventory Control Techniques, Valuation of Inventory, Capacity Planning.

• Different modes of transportation and the different policies and procedures applicable for each mode – Carrier Characteristics, Road Transportation, Rail Transportation, Various Incentive Schemes of Railways, Pipe Lines, Transportation and Environment

• Understanding of processes included in Distribution and Warehousing and the application of information systems – Warehouse organisation, Warehouse location, layout and planning, warehouse operations, ISO Standards and Warehouse activities, Performance evaluation of stores, computerization of warehouse activities, warehouse security and maintenance, designing distribution network and supply systems.

Hence, it includes local transport, as well as domestic and international transport.

Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan (BVB) was established by Kulpati Shree Dr. Kanaiyalal Maneklal Munshiji in 1938 in Mumbai to promote education and professional training along with the values and virtues of India and Indian Culture. He was a freedom fighter along with Gandhiji and later a member of the Indian Constituent Assembly.
