Happy Anniversary Feb. 20: David & Melanie Snawder Those Needing Our Prayers & Visits: Larry’s Lines… One Place Many centuries ago the world was destroyed by water. God blotted out every living thing that was upon the face of the ground, man, animals, creeping things, and birds of the air. It all happened during the six hundred years of Noah’s life. The fountains of the great deep burst forth and the windows of the heavens were opened up. Rain fell upon the earth for forty days and forty nights and the waters prevailed. Even the mountains were covered. There was one place of safety in the day when the flood came, Noah’s Ark. All other places were useless— mountains, trees, towers, and boats — utterly useless. In Egypt during the great famine there was only one man to whom the Egyptians could go to receive food. That man was Joseph. Going to anyone else was a waste of time. In speaking of Jesus, Peter said, “And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12) Does that sound exclusive? Of course it does! But Peter’s statement is only a reflection of what Jesus had said earlier about himself, “I am the way, the truth and the life; no one comes to the Father but by Me” (John 14:6). Both Peter and Jesus said the same thing. There is no salvation except by and through Jesus. Don’t pin your hopes on anyone else. Salvation is found in only one place, Jesus Christ. “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away and behold, the new has come.” (2 Corinthians 5:17). I’m thankful that we are not left to wonder about how one gets into Christ. The apostle Paul answers that question for us. “For in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith. For as many of you as has been baptized into Christ have put on Christ” (Galatians 3:26-27). The one place of salvation is Christ, and that place is found through faith and baptism. As Jesus said, “ He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned” (Mark 16:16). AM SERMON OUTLINE Revelation chapters 2&3 are letters to the seven churches of Asia on what Christ thinks of its church in these cities.2. What would God’s letter say to Johnson? What are some things we can do to renew our spiritual passion?A. Get serious about worship.B. Get serious about spending time with God’s word.C. Get serious about prayer.D. Get serious about holiness.E. Get serious about obedience to the Gospel.

PM SERMON OUTLINE 1. The Devil is alive and well on planet earth. 1 Peter 5:82. How should we respond “When the Devil gives us hard time.”A. Don’t be surprised. 2 Timothy 3:12. 1 Peter 4:12B. Don’t become discouraged.C. Don’t play by the Devil’s rules.
