One Direction

  One Direction are the biggest and most loved boy band the world has ever known.

In four short years they’ve achived the kind of success that other bands can only

dream of.

 One Direction is formed by Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam ayne, Harry !tyles

and Louis "omlinson. In #$%$, they auditioned as solo candidates for the seventh

series of the &ritish televised singing com'etition The X Factor . "hey failed to the

(&oys( category, but were 'ut together to form a five)'iece boy band at *embley

+rena,   in London, ngland, in -uly #$%$, during the ( bootcam'( stage of the

com'etition.

 

 Nicole !cheringer , a guest /udge, and !imon 0owell have both come u' with the

idea of forming the band. "han the grou' got together for two weeks to get to know

each other and to 'ractise. Harry !tyles came u' with the name 1ne 2irection.

"he grou' 3uickly gained 'o'ularity in the 45.1ne 2irection finished in third 'lace The X Factor and immediately after the final,

their song (6orever 7oung( was leaked onto the internet. !hortly afterwards it was

confirmed that 1ne 2irection had been signed by 0owell to a re'orted 8# million

!yco 9ecords record contract, their debut album began in -anuary #$%%.

  In 6ebruary #$%% the boy band and other contestants from the series 'artici'ated

in the X Factor  Live "our. +fter the tour concluded in +'ril #$%%, the grou' continued

working on their debut album."heir first album was 4' +ll Night , and continues with

"ake Me Home :#$%#;, Midnight Memories :#$%re trying to do different kinds of music and they>re /ust trying to be

theyselves. ach band member has their own interest that kee' them busy. Harry

loves art and fashion and is regularly 'hotogra'hed on the front row at fashion shows.

Louis loves football :soccer;, Zayn loves drawing, Liam boAing and, as everyone

knows, Niall really loves to eat.
