Ambi started producing baby toys in Holland in the late 60s. A few years

later, Patrick Rylands, an award winning English designer, joined the Ambi

team. From then on, all Ambi toys were designed by Patrick and they

became known for their distinctive style and quality of design. Many of these

toys conceived in the 70s and 80s are still in production today. The classic

designs with simple lines, imaginative features and purity of color have

stood the test of time.

Babies and toddlers are not interested in passing trends, fashion colors or

the latest gadget. They need well designed and reliable toys which don’t

disappoint during play and encourage their gradual discovery of themselves,

others and the surrounding world. Ambi toys satisfy these needs and are a

continuing source of learning and fun. Exactly what a good toy is meant to be!

We are very fortunate to have Patrick’s original design drawings for Ambi

toys past and present. These drawings will be a rich source of new products

and ensure the design integrity and success of Ambi Toys for many years

to come.
