There is a house – unit 11 3rd Grade Once upon a time there was a horse named Buttercup. Buttercup decides to take a walk. On his way he meets his friend dog. „Hello, dog! What are you doing?” says Buttercup. The dog answers: „Hello, Buttercup. I am bored. Let’s do something interesting.” They decide to go and play on the hill. They see a cow on the hill and Buttercup asks her „What is your name?”. The cow says: „My name is Daisy”. „Come and play with us!” say the horse and the dog. In a tree, next to the house, there is a bird. Under the tree, there is a goat. The goat tells the bird: „Look at the horse, cow and dog! They are playing and having so much fun! Let’s go and play with them!” And the bird answers: „OK, let’s go!” And the goat and the bird go on the hill to and meet with the other animal. They ask the others: „Can we play with you?” The horse, the dog and the cow answer together: „Yes, of course.” And they all played all day long and the night came. The farmer came home and asked: „Where are my animals? I can’t see them anywhere!”. He found them on the hill and they all returned safely home. They go to sleep in the barn. 1 Answer the questions from the handout: What is the horse’s name? What is the cow’s name? What are they doing all day? Where is the bird? Where is the goat? Where do the animals sleep? 2 Find the words learnt in the text. 3 Illustrate the story by drawing some pictures. Write under the pictures the words from today’s lesson.
