• 2009 - 8 Regions - 5,799 participants• 2010 - 14 Regions - 6,159 participants• 2011 - 17 Regions - 8,552 participants• 2012 - 22 Regions - 13,000 participants• 2013 - 25 Regions - 16,164 participants
• The competition is open to full time students who are undergraduates, doing their first
degree, at the point of registration.
• Each team must have four members (all full time undergraduates as stated above)
• There can be up to two members per team who are currently also studying or holding a
professional qualification, or up to four members who are studying CIMA at certificate or
operational level.
• No postgraduates or MBA holders will be eligible to participate
• All members of a team must belong to the same university
• Each student may join only one team
• Mentors or supervisors are not mandatory to form a team
• There must be a team leader in each team
• CIMA's decision is final should there be any discrepancy.

• Stage one – case study analysis
• Stage two – synopsis and presentation (UK final)
• Stage three – presentation (global final)
