Our ProjectTo communicate clearly and be understood we

followed these steps:• We looked at current safety practices.• We watched traffic and pedestrians, and

collected data.• We learned more about safety.• We handed out surveys about how kids travel

between home and school.• We developed a plan to make our

neighborhood safer.

Page 14: On the move!!!

What we observed…..• Hey do you remember the day

outside the school gate…..yes• That day we observed and make

note of the following things

Page 15: On the move!!!

Traffic problems outside our school-

Pakistan1. No awareness in common people of traffic rules2. No body bothers to follow these rules3. Roads are over crowded with vehicles4. No specific routes for heavy traffic (busses)5. Negligence by the government &traffic control authorities6. Traffic sergeant tries but no one listen to him7. People are impatient8. People park anywhere they like9. People are not kind to others10. They shout and scream at each others11. No respect12. Horn a lot13. Make fun of female drivers14. Traffic comes from everywhere there is no system

Page 16: On the move!!!

WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR TRAFFIC PROBLEMS? • GOVERNMENT• TRAFFIC POLICE• COMMON PEOPLE

Our group th

inks that

people are themselves

responsible fo

r all t

his

mess

Page 17: On the move!!!

What can we do?Our suggestion

Car Pool:- • principal should send notes to parents that students coming from one

area should try to come together in one car• For instance a car can accommodate 5 students• 5 Students from Model Town area should come in one car rather than

in 5 cars ( car Pool )• Parents take turn• In this way each parent will have to give duty on one day and rest for

4 days—also save energy• 5 working days will be covered and the traffic outside school will be

controlled• Students coming to school could walk or take a bus

Lets make it more clear how our suggestion can help solve the problem…………..

Page 18: On the move!!!

Car Pool…………• Suppose there our 200 students in

our branch….remember division problem miss amber taught us..

• Now divide 200 by 5 as 200 = 40

5• so instead of 40 cars we will have

40 cars…………….What do you think of our

suggestion…….aren’t we

brilliant?

Page 19: On the move!!!

Will traffic be a serious problem in future in

Pakistan? Hey stop and think for a

second………….• If we will not take it seriously we

will be seeing and facing – more road accidents– more people getting hurt or dying on

roads– More doctors, more ambulances,

more medicines– More fighting and abusing……

Page 20: On the move!!!

Who is responsible for our safety?

We ourselves• there is no survival with out

safety, if we are not safe there is no surety of our survival.
