In the Soviet Far East the genus Onco;r.sis Buuneister, 183E is representedLry a great number of species nranl' of rvhich are apparently endemics. Be-cause of the extensiye individual varialion it is often difficult to identify someof the species on exlernal characters alone. The male genitalia, however, offer good specific characlers.

Subgenus Sispocrris nov.

Tvpe of subgenus BUthoscopus jugTlcns \Iatsumura, 1912 (F'igs. l-8).Differs principally from Oncopsis s. str. in the follorn'ing characters: py-

Subgenus Oncoptit t. str.

The species of the subgenus Oncopsis s. slr. are forming two groups. Therepresentatives of the first group have an aedeagus with a saddle-concaveddorsal margin. Oncopsis (s. str. ) (drrstrr sp. n. {FiBs. 20-22)Crown is black. Face is yellow with black band between ocelli. This band

is connected with the black field on the crown by a middle black stripe.Pronotum is brownish-jet-black rvilh a more pale posterior margin. Sculellumis black. Palecoloured specimens have yellos-brorvn pronotum with blackspots on anterior margin. Forewings are black with transparent borderingof claval suture, wilh lransparent costal margin and with more or less visibletransparent band on subapical cells. Clavus black, apical cells dark, veinsare bordered with black.

The male genital segment is rer)- characteristic. -{edeagus as in O. (Ini(Shrank, 1801), i.e. with convex dorsal margin. Stilus gradually widening toapex. Appendage of anal segment with one strong unbranched process, Iurnedto ventral side. No one of known species has such r process.

Oncopsis (s. str.) ccliginos( sp. n. (Figs.23-25)General appearance:rnd colour is like previous species. It is distinguished

by larger size, pale basis of clavus, more rvide and pale costal margin andmore wide and pale bordering of claval suture.

It is rvell distinguished from previous and other well-known species bystructure of anal tube appendage. Penis as in O. (lni convex all the wa]'along dorsal margin. Stilus with approximately parallel sides. .{nal tubeappendage with two branches - ventral and dorsal. \'entral branch issemicircularly bent dorsad; it is broadened or sligthly bifurcated at the end.Dorsal branch of appendage is short, subparallel lo apical part of lhe ventralone. O. obstructo Dlabola, 1963. has someu'hat similar anal tube appendage, but it is of another general appearance and has a \yell-distinguishable stilusrvith dorsal part sharply broadened.
