White SpaceExamples from last year
Layout is crowded and user is not clear on where to begin. Type should not cover footer. Clear visual hierarchy, well organized, and easy for the eye to scan.

If animations are automatic, test them while practicing speaking to them, to make sure the timing works
If layers are built on top of one another with animation, spread the layers out over a series of slides, to easily edit the layers
Remember distributed slides will be flattened in a PDF so the intent could change from the animated version
Animations and Layers that Build
Animation appears flat in a PDF document; content cannot be read

Network DiagramsContent should be organized and clearly understood
Slide is crowded and too detailed with overlapping content. Spread out on multiple slides. Scannable, clear path for viewers to follow with correct icon graphics.

Charts should be simple and clear
Use charts from the template in your presentation and modify data
Use blue to represent NetApp in a chart or diagram
No outlines on bars
Values can be inside or above bars
Legend can be at the side, bottom, or inside chart area if it fits
Keep Charts SimpleUse the template slides as a guide
Chart Example

Incorrect color; hard to read heavy text labels on the dark background Correct color; content labels read better than adjacent chart; data points stand out

TroubleshootingManually fixing text when it is not appearing correctly
IssueText does not adjust after applying and resetting layout
SolutionCut and paste text into the proper placeholders
If you’ve created manual text boxes outside template fields, you may still experience formatting issues when you import content — even after you’ve assigned and reset the slide layout. To fix, cut and paste copy.
