2 Turn the rewind release lever counter-clock_wise by about 9O' .Hold both the rewind knob and rewind re-lease lever to prevent them from turning andadvance the film advance lever. The sh-utterwill then be cocked for the next exposurewithout advancing the f i lm.Press the shutter release button with a slow,steady squeeze.

O Turn the rewind release lever counter-clock-^ wise by about gO' .Or Fold out the rewind crank and wind i t in the

direct ion of the arrow. Whi le rewinding, youwi l l feel tension on the crank. When th i ien_sion stops and the crank turns f reely, the f i lmhas been completely rewound back into thecartridge.

A: The f i lm leader may not be inserted in thef i lm take-up spool and the f i lm is not ad_vancing. (See page 9.)

O: Why can't I advance the film?A: The shut ter may be cocked and ready to f i re.

Try pressing the shut ter re lease but ton. (Seepage 10 . )Or, the f i lm may be fu l ly exposed. Check theexposure counter. l f you feel tension on thef i lm advance lever, DO NOT FORCE lT. Re-wind the f i lm. (See page 20.) Or the sel f -t imer lever is not securely in i ts upr ight posi-t ion, reset and re lease the sel f - t imer. FINDER GROUP

The viewf inder is one of the most important fea-tures of a single lens reflex camera. Since everyphotographic sublect is turned into a visual imageby means of the f inder, a f inder that is dark ordiff icult to look through is an obstacle to goodphotography. However enriched an SLR camerais with a wide range of interchangeable lenses, theSLR cannot be expected to fulfill its essential func'tion without the provision for changing of focus'ing screens. The OM-2 is provided with a view-finder that offers a far brighter, large image thanorevious 35mm SLR cameras. The Finder Groupsupplements this basic advantage with a compre-hensive set of 1 4 focusing screens for a wide varie-ty of applications from photomicrography to as'trophotography. At the moment of f lash, you can evencatch the movement of subiects that your owneyes are unable to fo l low.At present the OM System Flashphoto Group ren-ders choice of 5 d i f ferent f lash uni ts, inc ludingthe Electronic Flash T32 and T20. TheT32offershigh performance - a maximum ASA 100 guidenumber of 32 ( in meters) or '104 ( in feet l wi th anangle that v i r tual ly covers the picture area of a24mm super-wide angle lens, and is provided wi tha bui l t - in bounce mechanism.
