04 October 2011The Coubertin Olympic Awards 2012 essay competition, which invites young people to examine the connection between the values and ethics of business and sport, is now open for entries with a 2,000 prize for the winners.Now in its third year,the competition asks teams of two or more to research and write about how the Olympic ideals of fairness, integrity and openness can help businesses balance commercial success with their social responsibilities.

So, what is Inspire?Inspire officially recognises all those non-commercial projects and events inspired by the Games coming to the UK.

This is about innovative projects that have been inspired by the 2012 Games.

Projects that are about excellence, personal best and participation.

Through the Eyes of a Child is one such event!

12Project briefBackgroundBy participating in this photography competition, you are all part of the Inspired by London 2012 Programme. This is an official programme of the London Olympic and Paralympic GamesThis is a joint initiative between Middlesex University, Hendon School and Aseema (a school for underprivileged children in Mumbai, India)The children from India are also taking pictures, although they will not be part of the competition.All photographs entered will be uploaded to the eyes of a child websiteA selection of photographs will be printed and framed and be part of a photograph exhibition: Through the Eyes of a Child
