From our Apostles:
Long ago, I started reading a small 48-page book on
healing called By Jesus’ 39 Stripes We Were Healed
by Walter A. Straughan.
Day by day I meditated on it and many healings hap-
pened, including problems with my equilibrium, a
damaged facial nerve, heart attacks, tumors, gum
disease and glaucoma.
I rejected sickness of any kind and will do whatever
necessary to be healed. Through it all I finally came
to truly understand that it takes the Word of God and
faith working in me daily to maintain my healing.
Now when Satan tries to attack my body with ail-
ments, I lay hands on myself confessing the healing
scriptures over and over until I receive it, giving
thanks to our Father in Yahshua’s name. One of the
scriptures I use is Stripe #1 from the book, I Peter
2:24: “Who his own self bare our sins in his own
body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should
live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye (we)
were healed.”
Realizing what Yahshua has already done by receiv-
ing those 39 stripes for our healing, why, why, why
not receive my healing? It is truly a gift from
Yahshua.

Welcome Garnett Family!Welcome Garnett Family! Kamayah PorterKamayah Porter
The Garnett family joined the TYC family in July 2013. Brother J and his wife
Lalita Garnett have two daughters, Lailani and Lanaila.
Brother J currently works at the University of Phoenix as a Higher Ed Admin-
istrator; and Sister Lalita works at Richland County public services.
Brother J is originally from Augusta and Sister Lalita from Ridgeland. They
now reside in the northeast area of Columbia. The Garnett’s said that they de-
cided to join the Temple of Yahshua because it “provides spiritual accommo-
dations for the whole family.”
We extend a warm welcome to the Garnett family!
Luke 4:18 reads as follows: The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath
sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the
blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
Jesus came to set the captives free in every area of our lives and healing is one of those areas.
Healing comes with salvation. Once we are born again, by His stripes, we are healed according to Isaiah
53:5. Once we are born again, we must live a life that is pleasing to God.
Exodus 23:25 says if we serve the Lord our God, he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take
sickness away from the midst of thee (us). If we continue to keep His commandments, we will live a fruit-
ful and productive and health life.
A Fairytale Nightmare A Fairytale Nightmare Brittany J. DanielsBrittany J. Daniels
Theirs was the classic love story. A real-
life Black Barbie and Ken. They were edu-
cated, popular and hopeful. They met, dated
and he proposed. Like the rest of their rela-
tionship, their wedding was beautifully flaw-
less. The princess married Prince Charming.
Their “castle” was a quaint 2-bedroom apart-
ment on the 2nd floor. They were happy,
holding hands, and in love.
It was hard to imagine that just two short
weeks later, he used the hand she once held
to grab the back of her neck and drag her up
those same stairs. A few days after that, he
pushed her into a wall. Soon thereafter he
held her face down into a pillow until she
stopped crying. Sometime after that he threw
all her clothes out on the balcony, telling her
to get out of his life. To her, it was all a stun-
ning blur. How had this happened?
Looking back, it is impossible to even
recall what had provoked these rages of vio-
lent fury, when the fairy tale turned to a
nightmare. She remembered the day she went
to the store after work without telling him in
advance. He accused her of cheating, and
made her show time-stamped receipts from
then on to prove where she had been. Then
there was the time when he told her not to
turn on the heat in the apartment to save
money on bills. In the winter, she wore layers
upon layers of clothes at home, but could not
shake the chill, so she turned on the heat.
She had defied him, the head of the house-
hold. When he got home, he snapped and
shredded all of their wedding photos. She
cried and pleaded with him not to, but he
insisted that it was all trash because she was
not a real wife. What wife would defy her
husband? Centimeters from her face, he spit
and screamed that she was the devil. She
knew it had to be her fault. That’s what he
told her—that it was her fault, she wasn’t a
good wife. And she believed him. To her,
he was still her Prince Charming. She be-
came less than a princess—a peasant of sorts.
She had to do something to repair her mar-
riage.
She painted on a smile and pretended all
was well. She changed for him. She became
who he wanted her to be. She quickly real-
ized that her best still wasn’t good enough.
She was getting dressed for work one day
and noticed how big all of her clothes
seemed to be. It was then that she realized
that she hadn’t been eating. The stress, the
pain, the despair, the abuse was taking its
toll, and there was no end in sight. Like a
zombie she drove to work over the familiar
bridge. She thought for a split second about
driving over the side, ending it all, to show
her Prince Charming how he had destroyed
her. But God. God showed her a glimpse of
her former self. The princess she once was
had been abused and was wounded. But God
reminded her of His promise to never leave,
to make her the head, to fight all her battles,
to provide all her needs that she may have
life more abundantly. She knew then that if
she did not turn over her husband and her
marriage to the Lord, she would surely die.
And she decided then to live, to let go, and to
let God.
The turning point began like any other
fight. She could not exactly say what she
had done to anger her husband so, but in the
midst of his rage she ran into the bathroom
and locked the door. The hands she once
held banged on the door with his fists, and
she cried and shook in despair. Suddenly all
was quiet. She began to breathe, slowly and
deliberately. She felt an eerie calm. Just as
abruptly as the banging had stopped, it start-
ed up again, but this sound was different. It
was no longer his hands on the door, but a
hammer. He used all of his strength to try to
get through the door with the hammer. He
was yelling incoherently, something about
hating her. Her eyes darted about the bath-
room, and with nothing there she could use to
protect herself from her hammer-wielding
husband, she prayed:
God, if you let me live through this, I
will leave and never look back. I’m sorry I
put him before You. I thought everything was
good, and did not see the need to pray. I’m
sorry, Lord. I needed You then, in my good
times, just like I need You now! I trust You,
God, to save me like You promised You
would! Now, God, give me the words to say
to calm his anger.
And He did. And she left, with no mon-
ey, just her car and some clothes. Most im-
portantly, she left with her life and her sanity.
It was over; she was safe.
She is a different person now. Yes, more
mature, wiser, but also she knows God to be
a life-saver because He saved her life. She
knows God to be a restorer because He re-
stored her mind, body, heart and soul. She
knows God to be an on-time God because He
stepped in on time for her. She knows that
troubles and trials only come to make us
strong, and she is stronger. She knows to be
aware and alert to the ever-present, subtle
warning signs of trouble. She knows to live
for her. She should have left a long time ago,
but there was always someone else to think
about. What would this person think? How
can I face so-and-so? However, so-and-so
was not on that bridge or in that bath-
room...only she and God were. So now, she
lives for Him because when you know better,
you do better. And she is doing much better.

A Word on Forgiveness Forgiveness through the Forgiveness through the
Blood Blood Apostle Juanita FordApostle Juanita Ford
Scripture References:
In whom we have redemption through His blood, the
forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His
grace. -Ephesians 1:7
In whom we have redemption through His blood, even
the forgiveness of sins. -Colossians 1:14
The scriptures teach us to establish everything in the
mouth of two or three witnesses. The two scriptures
given are to build your faith on to operate in FOR-
GIVENESS GOD’S WAY. This can only come
through the blood that Jesus shed for us on Calvary for
we are looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our
faith. We must remember that God forgives us and then
He challenges us to forgive one another just as He for-
gives us. Our will must be like God’s to forgive be-
cause He is righteous.
In my own life I had to practice these scriptures on
different occasions:
Forgiving myself when I do something that
doesn’t line up with the will and purpose of
the Heavenly Father
In my relationship with my husband
In my relationship with my church family
My natural family
My co-workers
Since my will is to do the will of the Father, I must use
the Word of God. For instance Psalm 119:165 says,
Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing
shall offend them. Let’s keep our minds on the Word
of God and the power of the blood.
Love + Forgiveness Love + Forgiveness Prophet Reggie LloydProphet Reggie Lloyd1ST TIME CONTRIBUTOR
How can one forgive without having the love of God in
their hearts? The two must go hand-in-hand; you cannot
do one without the other.
When someone has wronged you, it is your responsibil-
ity to forgive them, love them, respect them and forget
about what was done or said that you may have felt was
offensive to you. (Let’s not forget we have been bought
with a price and we no longer belong to ourselves.) For
the word says in 1 Peter 4:8 Love covers a multitude of
sin. There goes that word again (LOVE). Again, HOW
CAN WE FORGIVE WITHOUT LOVE?
So many times I have told myself that I have forgiven an
individual for wronging me. I spoke it out my mouth and
tried fooling myself that I forgave that individual, but
subconsciously the unforgiveness still lingered. If we all
are honest with ourselves, we all have experienced this.
You may ask yourself or tell others, "how can I forgive
them for what they have done?" You want justice served
because injustice was done to you. Well let me give you
two encouraging words on how you can handle this:
LOVE THEM and FORGIVE THEM. Matthew 5:44 is a
recipe to help your spiritual life rise to the potential that
God wants it to be. Be blessed.

Ministry Spotlight

Praise Yah (God), I would like to talk about this
awesome auxiliary that I am proud to be a part of.
This auxiliary does not mind going into the enemy’s
territory and tearing its kingdom down. Our unique
approach is something to be reckoned with. Our
quest for victory over the enemy stemmed from
reading the word of Yah on how to be victorious
through songs (2 Chronicles 20:1-29). We fully un-
derstand that the praise we extend to God through
music confuses the enemy. This blessed, anointed,
kind, loving and extraordinary auxiliary that I am
proud to announce is none other than the awesome
TYC Music Ministry.
TYC’s music ministry consists of a few members
who do not mind giving praise to the One whom
praises are due: our Lord and Savior Yahshua Christ.
The music ministry rehearses the second through the
fourth Tuesday of each month from 7-8:30 p.m. The
praise team meets on the first Tuesday of every
month from 7-8:30 p.m. here in the sanctuary. Our
goal is to usher the presence of Yah into the sanctu-
ary as well as ushering the people into a worship
experience that will bring healing and deliverance.
I (Prophet Reggie) praise Yah for giving me the
opportunity of being one of the leaders over this
great auxiliary. Prophet Waylon Gibson also works
closely with me into taking this music ministry to the
next level in Yahshua Christ. I dare not forget to
thank each choir member and musician who gives of
themselves to be a part of this auxiliary. I pray that
your labor will not be in vain and that our Father will
continually bless each of you for your faithfulness
and love to the TYC music ministry.
Those of you who do not mind giving Yah the praise
and are interested in becoming a member TYC’s
anointed choir, please see myself (Prophet Reggie
Lloyd) or Prophet Waylon Gibson and let us know
your heart’s desire. It is our desire to make a JOY-
FUL noise unto the LORD.

Praise the Lord Saints! If you don’t already know, Tye Tribbett released his
new album, Greater Than, on August 6, 2013 and boy is it the business!1 The
CD consists of twelve songs all of which were good and oily2! The CD fea-
tures music that incorporates both acoustic and electric instrumentation with
prominent percussions. The lead vocalist is Tye Tribbett with the exception
of one song, and is accompanied by the great harmonization of his backup
singers. Even though there were a couple songs that were not my favorite,
there were none that I just flat out could not vibe with. Some fan favorite
songs include “You are Everything”, “You are Good”, “If He did it before…
Same God”3, “Better”, and “He turned it”. However, in my opinion, the best
song is “What can I do” written by upcoming artist KJ Scriven. The words
are so simple but the meaning and power behind the lyrics is what gives it
the ability to send anyone on a one-way ticket to worship mode! Neverthe-
less, I digress; overall I give this CD the green light. Whoever buys this will
not be disappointed so hurry up and get your copy now! Editor’s Note: 1. An expression meaning awesome or
great. 2. An expression meaning anointed or heavily
anointed. 3. When the song ends, turn your volume all
the way up and you’ll hear a music jam snippet.
If it stays in that basis instead of
deviating. A lot of times you have
things that are supposed to be
Christian reality shows but they
really devi-
ate. If they
stay firm
on that
basis I
think it will
be good
because
it’s needed
not only
for the
teens but the adults as well. So if
they don’t diverge from what we
really believe in and stand on it in
the Christian reality shows I think it
could be good.
-Prophet Reggie Lloyd
Preachers of LA is a new Christian reality television show on the Oxygen network. It premiered October 9th and chronicles the lives of
well-known ministers/preachers who live in Los Angeles.
I don’t have an issue with it
as long as they are strictly
basing everything on the
Lord. When they start bring-
ing in the drama and the
messiness
that’s
when I
have an
issue;
because
you don’t
need that.
God is
Love;
He’s
peace and joy and not the
extra drama that’s added. So
if its based on the Word and
focuses on God and Christian
principality’s then I’m all for
it. -Miranda Jackson
I feel like it could happen
depending on how far they
take it [and] as long as it is
still promoting God. As soon
as it gets out of hand that’s
when a line needs to drawn,
but I think they can have a
Christian reality show with-
out taking over.
