Helix plates are welded to the CHS pile enabling the pile to be screwed into the ground with a single RRV & torque motor. A base plate interfaces the pile and OLE structure. The installation process enables high productivity rates coupled with low noise levels making them suitable for night shift installation. Driven Pile foundations are installed using Movax vibration plant with hydraulic driven drop hammers. Driven piles offer a single installation solution to achieve high productivity compared with concrete foundations. Driven piles are ideal where overturning moments are significant. A base plate interfaces both the driven pile and the OLE structure. FLI’s screw pile foundations are quick and easy to install, saving time & money on site works. This is a highly sustainable foundation solution with CO 2 emissions savings in the region of 88% compared with concrete foundations. Suitable for a range of OLE structures including single masts, portal gantries, ties & struts. Solutions available include large diameter single piles for high productivity or site specific solutions using multiple screw piles with steel interface grillages. FLI’s in-house steel fabrication facility is equipped with state of the art machinery enabling efficient & competitive manufacturing for a range of OLE structures. New innovative hand buildable structures for either single or twin track gantries offer a solution for green zone / mid week daytime working, giving projects higher rates of build productivity. A group of screw piles (3 or 4) can be installed with a steel interface grillage which is typically used to support OLE gantries with high overturning moments. This solution is ideal where buried services are present and need to be bridged, or to limit the impact to existing adjacent structures.
