Promises God Made to Abraham

Afterplayingthegame,bringeveryonebacktotheirseats.

Ask:(Let the children respond to the following questions).

Like we played in this game, do we have to run behind God for Him to fulfill His promises for us?No!We don’t have to run behind God for He is always faithful in keeping Hispromises.

Let’s say that you prayed for something and you still did not receive it. Does that mean God didn’t hear you? Does that mean He doesn’t love you? No!

Sometimes we ask God for something and we don’t get it right away. We have to wait. Can you think of a time when you prayed really hard for something and then had to wait to get it?

Does God promise to always give us what we want? No!

Why not? Hepromisestogiveuswhatisbestforus.

Why did Abraham obey God?HehadfaithinGod.HetrustedGodandbelievedthatGodhadagoodreasontoaskhimtodowhatHewantedhimtodo.

Did Abraham question God before obeying Him?No!

Why did Abraham receive the promises from God? HebelievedandputhisfaithandtrustinGodevenwhenhecouldnotunderstand. He obeyed God even when it was difficult and things seemed impossible andhopelessinHislife.

HehadgreatconfidencethatGodwouldfulfillHispromises.

Why did God choose to carry out His plan through Abraham and not through anyone else?
