WEST SAYVILLE PHARMACY Bank Expansion Bill is Opposed Albany—Suffolk's state legis- lators said Friday they would oppose a bill which would al- low Manhattan banks to expand into Nassau and Suffolk Coun- ties. The Suffolk delegation had been asked to fight this En- croachment by the County's Re- publican executive committee. The bill was introduced by Sen. Ernest 1. Hatfield, chair- man of the Senate Banks Com- , mittee. The Suffolk delegation, in a prepared .statement, said: "Sen. Hatfield has said that this bill was just submitted for pur- poses of studying the situation. It appears that any attempt to extend the banking territory of Manhattan institutions would, however, he a disservice to the banks which have served Suf- folk County so well. At the re- quest of the Suffolk Republican Executive Committee, our Suf- folk delegation will oppose this measure.' Bank Expansion Bill is Opposed

Albany—Suffolk's state legislators said Friday they would oppose a bill which would allow Manhattan banks to expand into Nassau and Suffolk Counties. The Suffolk delegation had been asked to fight this Encroachment by the County's Republican executive committee.

The bill was introduced by Sen. Ernest 1. Hatfield, chairman of the Senate Banks Com-

, mittee. The Suffolk delegation, in a prepared .statement, said: "Sen. Hatfield has said that this bill was just submitted for purposes of studying the situation. It appears that any attempt to extend the banking territory of Manhattan institutions would, however, he a disservice to the banks which have served Suffolk County so well. At the request of the Suffolk Republican Executive Committee, our Suffolk delegation will oppose this measure.'
