Composition & Applications. OKITE® is composed mainly (up to 93%) by natural quartz crystals. Applications of OKITE® include:

Antibacterial propertiesDifferently than other surfacing products, OKITE® does not need any sort of potentially harmful chemical agent, to keep its antibacterial properties.

World’s Whitest StoneOKITE® also features the exclusive “1665 – Bianco Assoluto”, by many Architects & Designer Professionals defined as the whitest stone available in the industry. Free samples are available to any Design Professional.

Custom ColorsOKITE® Quartz Surfacing can also be manufactured to match specific color requests. A minimum order of 8,000 SF (3/4”) or 5,400 SF (1” ¼) is requested.

Samples & BindersWe provide samples and binders to Architects and Design Professionals at no cost.

Finishes & EdgesOKITE® Quartz Surfacing comes with a standard polish finish. Honed finish (which will require more maintenance) is also available as special order. Edge finishes available for OKITE® Quartz Surfacing are the same available for natural stone (eased edge, bullnose, half bullnose, ogee, ogee bullnose, etc.).

Dimensions, Thicknesses & WeightOKITE® is manufactured into large slabs measuring 120” x 55” (45.83 SF per slab) in the thickness of ¾” (20 mm) and 1 ¼” (30 mm). OKITE® slabs are also available, as special order, in ½” (13 mm) thickness.

Color ConsistencyOKITE® Quartz Surfacing provides excellent color consistency between slabs from the same lot number. As any other quartz surfacing product, slabs from different lot numbers may have a slight difference in color shade. Natural stones (granite, marble, limestone, soapstone) present color inconsistency even within the same batch and certainly from slab to slab.

CertificationsOKITE® is certified by GreenGuard Environmental Institute under the “GREENGUARD Standard for Low Emitting Products” and under the “GREENGUARD for Children & Schools product certification programSM”, which means OKITE® does not emit any gas or VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds). As result, OKITE® is much safer than any other surfacing product.

OKITE® is also certified by NSF for comply with NSF/ANSI 51. As result, OKITE® does not support the growth of mold, mildew and bacteria on its surface.

MaintenanceTo clean OKITE®, a damp cloth and Formula 409 All purpose cleaner is usually sufficient. For stubborn stains, household cleaning products such as “Bar Keeper’s Friend”, “Zud Cleanser”, “Lysol”, “Whirl” and “Formula 409 All Purpose Cleaner” are effective. For extremely stubborn spills, glass scraper can be used without causing damage to the top. Rinse thoroughly to remove any residue which will likely diminish the shine of the countertop.

Sanitation in Healthcare applicationsEven if OKITE® is NSF approved, certain application (i.e.: healthcare) may require additional protection against bacteria and/or mold. To sanitize OKITE®, “Formula 409 Antibacterial Kitchen” is sufficient. Please refer to the directions on “Formula 409 Antibacterial Kitchen” label.

To further protect OKITE® remove any stain as it happens and avoid contact with hot sources.
