Students earn a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences. The program offers rigorous academic training in a small and interactive classroom environment as well as a hands-on training, including internships, fieldwork and lab work. Each student is assigned to an academic advisor from the first year, with whom he/she develops a personalized curriculum that best addresses his/her academic interests and future endeavors. Intensive Japanese language classes are available to all international students. We cherish the concept of diversity in our education, composition of students and faculty. Our students come from all walks of life: international students (East, Southeast, South Asia, EU, North America, and Africa), Japanese students from public and private schools in Japan, IB schools (abroad and within Japan), returnee students, students who have roots overseas, mature students, and students who have earned a degree elsewhere. Open to applicants of all nationalities from both Japan and abroad. Standardized English test scores are required for students who have not completed their last three years of secondary education entirely in English. The above dates may change. PROGRAM OVERVIEWThe Discovery Program for Global Learners at Okayama University is a four-year under-graduate degree program that can be completed in English or through bilingual coursework (in English and Japanese).
