PART 1: THE ORIGINS OF THE HOLIDAY.

C’mon friends! Let’s go with the PART 1

PART 1

Why do we celebrate the Child Mary’s Day?

The origins of the holiday Why is our school oriented to the Child Mary?

We celebrate the Child Mary’s Day because my school is guided to the religious education with the Child Mary as our “patroness”, so we celebrate her holiday. That’s because our school is part of an Order: The Order of the Company of Mary Our Lady.

“The Order of the Company of Mary Our Lady” was founded by St. Jeanne of Lestonnac, who was a faithful follower of the Child Mary and she oriented her Order to the Child Mary. Simple, ¿no? Nope. There’s more history in this case, but I can’t say it in this slide.

What do we do at the holiday?

At the day of the Child Mary, we don’t have a normal class: because we have a religious holiday! Normally, we bring some board games and some flowers for the Child Mary. Also, I bring my speciality: an orange cake with chocolate chips! At the same hour every year (I can’t remember which was), we go to the pavillion that is in our playground to celebrate the ceremony of the Child Mary.

When is the Child Mary’s Day

The Child Mary’s Day is celebrated every November 21. This day is celebrated with fervour, faith and happiness at the ninety-six schools of the Order of the Company of Mary Our Lady. With this, I wanna’ say that our faith is united to the faith of hundreds of thousands of people joined into the Order of the Company of Mary Our Lady.
