    OIS Parent Bulletin

    #16 May 20, 2016Fushigi Week

Fushigi   means “mystery” or “secret” and it is the name

of the middle school (MS) & high school (HS) spirit

week. OIS MS/HS students are encouraged to dress to

the occasion. Students need to dress appropriately for

school in the spirit of the day. To clarify,

“Job/Specialist” means to dress for example, as a

doctor, businessman, etc. “Event Mix-Up” means

students can choose a holiday other than halloween,

ike valentines day, Christmas, etc. OIS elementary

students are ONLY participating on Tuesday, and are

asked to dress in the school colors of purple, black

and/or white. Wear your Sabers gear!

School FestivalThe SOIS school festival takes place next Saturday

May 28. To start the festival, the elementary students

will be performing in the “Anthems of the Earth”

concert in the theatre from 8:45 - 9:45. Everyone is

nvited to attend. After the concert students can enjoy

the many booths the students are running. The festival

n the spirit of the IB, is a student-led event and the

various grade levels from both schools will be offering

games and activities. There will also be food and

entertainment all day long. All OIS proceeds will go our

service learning projects, which help the

disadvantaged in our community. The festival ends at

14:30, but families can leave anytime after the concert.

The high school students have a private party in the

    theatre from 15:30 - 18:30.

The photo on the left is from the actors’ workshop put on

the International Theatre Company (ITCL) of London. T

students learned from professionals how to expr

themselves on stage. A capacity crowd enjoyed

performance on Sunday. Thanks for everyone who ca

and helped with the visit, especially the KG foundation

funding this stop on the ITCL tour.
