Where can information be found to help a person find the classes
offering the proper certification needed to fit their desired job
position?
The first thing that a person would probably need to determine is ex-
actly which job position that they desire to work in along with which
city and state the job position are located. The reason that these
factors afactors are so vitally important is because some certifications will
vary from one city to another or from one state to another. In some
cases, some of the job positions may require the employee to travel
through multiple cities and or states in the course of their employment.
There is a wealth of information out there in magazines, internet search
engines, employment centers. The telephone book is also a good
source for leads because they often times provide a telephone
number as well as a physical addnumber as well as a physical address with which a job seeker can
either call or go in to the actual company itself and speak to some-
one directly in order to find out exactly what criteria that the company
requires must be met before they will consider hiring an applicant.
Many of these companies will usually be able to tell the person ex-
actly what certifications are necessary for which positions & which
certification programs are recommended above others. Many of the
companies also have enticompanies also have entire sections of their web sites dedicated to
bringing an applicant up to date on what requirement must be met
before they will consider hiring an applicant .
What types of positions are there in the Oil and Gas industry?
The Oil & Natural Gas industry is extremely complex. For the sake
of being brief, we will focus on three of the main phases of the industry.
“Currently, there is an enormous demand forqualified workers in the Oil & Natural Gas industry”
1) Engineering
The engineering sector of the Oil & Gas industry covers much of
the production, manufacturing, and maintenance aspects. The
engineering sector is a good career field for creative people who
like to build things or improve on existing products and or
services. Many engineers provide blue prints for modern or future
technology as well as work on developing company patents. technology as well as work on developing company patents.
2) Production
The production sector of the Oil & Gas industry mainly deals with
the processing of the oil & gas. For the most part, jobs in this
sector will often times tend to primarily revolve around physical
labor and basic construction or working on oil rigs.
3) Transportation
The transport/transportation sector deals mainly with truck drivers
& the vast array of services that they provide. This sector involves
mostly delivery & load hauling. Truck drivers are required by law
to have a valid C.D.L. license. Most companies also require all
driver’s have a clean driving record, can pass random drug screenings,
& have at least a basic level of experience hauling loads. Some truck & have at least a basic level of experience hauling loads. Some truck
drivers travel local routes, but a large percentage of them are re-
quired to haul loads using the interstate which requires them to stay
on the road a large percentage of the year.

Recently, fresh water has increasingly become more and
more scarce. Policies for water rights have since been
modified. Now, in the State of Texas the purchase of land
and water rights are considered to be separate transactions
from one another.
Along with the standard C.D.L. license (which is the minimal
license license requirement for all truck drivers in the trucking
industry), a water hauler must also be trained in a wide
section of areas when it comes to the proper handling
procedures for production water. Since the water hauler
will briefly be responsible for the production water usually
for short periods of time as they haul it from one place to
another, they are trained in preventive measures to ensure
that they athat they are knowledgeable should any problems arise.
Before the transportation of the water occurs, the
production water is first transferred from the oil well into
short-term on site holding tanks designed to store it for
short periods of time.
Tanker trucks then carry the water from those temporary
on site-holding tanks to other specially lined storage pits.
The on site holding tanks aThe on site holding tanks are lined with special material to
ensure that the production water is stored in a safe manner.
The tank keeps the water safe from heat and other elements
that might adversely effect is while it waits to be picked up
and transported.
Each truckload of water that is brought in to the facility is
measured and the measurements are all recorded to ensure
accuracaccuracy. The recording process also helps to ensure that
all of the production water is properly accounted for while
also helping to improve the efficiency of the overall process
of the transportation of the water at the same time.
The water is then reloaded back onto hauling trucks and
taken to licensed disposal centers.
These centers’ sole purpose is to ensure that the water is
treated properly and brought to an acceptable standard
of quality.
Recently, an increase in oil and gas production in West
Texas has also sparked a demand for both freshwater
as well as the need for qualified water haulers to carry it.
WWater haulers will often times work under either short term
or long term contracts. The water haulers are usually hired
directly by either an on site company hand or either a
distant corporate office responsible for overseeing much
of the day-to-day operations on the drilling site. Either way
the water hauler will still usually report directly to someone
who is actually on site where he is either delivering the
ffresh water or picking up the production water The routes
that the water haulers drive are often only short in duration.
Part of the reason for this is because most of the treatment
facilities are often times usually within only a few hundred
miles or so of where the water is gathered. For the
beginning side of the production the water hauler brings
in fresh water and takes it to the location where it can be
used in the oil and/or gas drillingused in the oil and/or gas drilling
At the end of production the water hauler simply loads the
production water onto the water hauling truck and carries
it to the processing center where it can be treated. Once
it is properly treated by the treatment center and converted
back to its original state and it can then be returned to an
oil drilling rig for reuse.

LoyaltyRemember this.If you work for a man, in heaven's name,
work for him.If he pays you wages which supply
your bread & butter, work for him;
speak well of him; stand by him &
speak well of him; stand by him & stand by the institution he represents.
If put to a pinch, an ounce of loyalty
is worth a pound of cleverness.
If you must vilify, condemn & eternally disparage - resign
your position, & when you are outside
your position, & when you are outside criticize to your
heart’s content, but as long as you are a part of theinstitution do not condemn it.
