The Jackson Center High School boys basketball team didn't lose until their final game of the season, in theDivision IV state championship game. The Tigers rolled through the regular season a perfect 20-0, thenreeled off seven straight victories to earn a spot in the state championship, where they lost to Berlin Hiland,the defending state champs.The Tigers finished the season with a 27-1 record.

The Anna High School girls came up just shy of a second straight Division III state basketball championship,losing in overtime in the championship game to Columbus Africentric. The Lady Rockets entered the sea-son as the defending D-III state champion, and were ranked No. 1 in Ohio all season long.They finished theregular season 20-0, and rolled through postseason play until the state championship game. Along the way,they put together 52 consecutive victories, a Shelby County record.
