Baker Hughes Opens Artificial Lift Research & Technology Center in OklahomaBaker Hughes Incorporated opened its Artificial Lift Research and Technology Center on February 20 in Cla-remore Oklahoma an 80,000+ square foot employee-designed center for research, engineering, design, and testing. The $60-million facility was built to satisfy growing research, development, and more extensive testing requirements for the artificial lift industry.

The new facility features com-prehensive equipment needed for self-sustaining R&D product development and operations. It will bring together the industrys leading technologists, engineers, and scientists who design, manu-facture, and test all major artificial lift system components that enable operators to get more value out of their wells.

Baker Hughes has operated in Oklahoma since the earliest days of our industry. Weve stayed here because of the rich and vibrant investment climate maintained by the state, said Martin Craighead, Baker Hughes Chairman and Chei-ef Executive Officer.
