Role of a Regional Body in Collaborative Growth

Regional Body Country Level Association

Advise on and recommend initiatives to drive regional collaboration

• Regional Think-tank• Is the ‘voice of the region’ through

representation of multiple stakeholders

• Helps exchange of information between various stakeholders at a regional level

• Drive investment promotion at a regional level

Implementation and project management of regional collaboration initiatives

• Co-ordinate with country Government and Corporates to implement initiatives

• Share best practices and knowledge with other Country Associations through Regional Body

• Seek funding options to implement regional initiatives

A body should be formed at a regional level with specific emphasis on development of the South Asia region as an ITES-BPO hub. It would encourage collaboration between the countries and play a key role in the co-ordination of all efforts from the other stakeholders.

The linkage between the Regional Body and the Country Level Association is illustrated below:

Key Takeaways

Country Level Associations should act as the voice of the industry and collaborate with other stakeholders to accelerate the growth of the ITES-BPO industry. To tap the potential market, the following areas should be addressed by the Associations:

• Leverage existing strengths of the country and address the development areas with respect to the four location drivers – talent, infrastructure, environment and clusters

• Collaborate with the Government to create an enabling environment through formulation of an investment friendly policy

• Work actively with Country Level Associations in other countries and the Regional Body to identify and leverage best practices

• Collaborate with Country Level Associations in other countries and the Regional Body to explore common and mutually beneficial opportunities
