The Global Energy Outlook Conference offers an investment outlook bringing you up to date with the latest insights in energy demand and supply, oil price developments and the key role of natural gas.

International and national oil companies alike will invest heavily in bringing new fields on-stream and the year 2011 will even see an increase in E&P spending. However, new investments present new challenges for the oil, gas and energy companies. These new challenges will be addressed in this conference.

The Global Energy Outlook conference also lays focus on the changing relationships between IOCs and NOCs, but more specifically on the increasing competition from Asian National Oil Companies such as PetroChina, Petronas and Korean National Oil Company. Additionally, this conference will touch upon cross cutting issues such as the need for a skilled workforce and the impact of post-Macondo regulatory changes.

Join the Global Energy Outlook Conference and benefit from expert knowledge, fresh perspective and an improved outlook which will assist you in making more informed business decisions!

The International Energy Agency has questioned whether we are entering the golden age of gas in its recent report on future energy supply. The future of gas, it seems, looks rosy and the Deepwater Gas Conference will explore this relatively new outlook.

The world economy is picking up after the financial crisis and energy demand increases. As nuclear energy is again the subject of heavy debating and concerns about CO2 emissions still hover in the air, gas will stand front and center in the years to come; not as a “transition fuel” but as a “destination fuel”.

Strong business cases for gas allow operators to invest in increasingly difficult gas projects: deep water and in remote areas, for example. One of the main reasons we are seeing ever more ingenious piping system designs. Offshore gas liquefaction, like Shell’s Prelude LNG FPSO project, should even make it possible to monetize stranded gas.

The Deepwater Gas Conference will present a global gas market outlook along with the business case for deepwater gas development. Invited operators, contractors and other experts will discuss their views on the economics of deepwater development, and give attendees a glance at their commercial and technical experiences associated with the challenges of unlocking distant gas resources.

The Deepwater Gas Conference is one you will not want to miss. Come and gain a deeper awareness on the state of play in deepwater technologies and critical issues to ensure a more profitable value chain.

Operators and contractors never cease to innovate in offshore oil and gas exploration and production technology. A new invention could lead to the lucrative exploitation of a field that was earlier viewed as marginal or out of reach.

This conference, Upstream Innovation, presents cases ranging from extending the operational life of oil and gas fields in Northwest Europe to solutions which will bring new fields on stream in the emerging markets of West-Africa, Brazil and the Arctic.

The Upstream Innovation Conference is definitely worth your time. You will come away with a quick understanding of the latest solutions, from drilling to transport, that will enable the industry to fully exploit the world’s oil and gas potential. Moreover, the knowledge you will gain during this conference also has the potential to increase your company’s bottom line.

For those offshore professionals interested in a quick update on a specific subject, Offshore Energy will again offer a series of short ses-sions in an intimate setting. Seating for these sessions is limited, so reserve your spot now!

Wave & Tidal EnergyFor the first time we will offer a session on the latest progress in wave and tidal energy. Speakers will the discuss the increasing op-portunities in this growth market.

Offshore WindIn 2020, some 10,000 wind turbines should generate around 40 GW of offshore wind power in Northwest Europe. Learn about the permitting procedures for such large projects during this session on Offshore Wind. Find out what these developments mean for you!

Marine Spatial PlanningA growing number of varying activities are taking place on the North Sea, steadily increasing the need for spatial planning. Learn about the latest state of affairs in policy and the offshore industry’s response to it.

Deep Sea MiningThis new development offers interesting prospects for the future. However, working on the seafloor also presents a new range of technical challenges, legal aspects and financial dares that need to be addressed through innovation, study and smart spending.

heavy LiftNew developments, like the decommissioning of platforms and construction of offshore wind farms, will make use of heavy lift vessels. How big can they go, what are the limitations and is bigger always better?

Unconventional GasTight sandstones, shale and coal bed methane are the three most common types of gas reservoirs which are jointly named as “unconventional gas”. Following successful unconventional gas exploitation in the United States, there is increasing European interest in this potentially “game changing” development. This is your opportunity to learn more about these challenging gas resources!

Over the next decade, decommissioning costs for oil and gas platforms in the North Sea are estimated at around 30 billion euros a year. Given these high costs, operators and service providers are driven to optimize abandonment techniques. The Decommissioning Seminar is organized in cooperation with IRO, and attendance is free of charge. Join this seminar and benefit from the viewpoint of top operators and contractors as they share information on efficient and cost-effective abandonment solutions like dismantling, recycling and reuse of platforms. Additionally, experts in the field will be on hand to highlight the most pressing legal issues.

Participation in the Decommissioning Seminar is free of charge. However, pre-registration is required. Seating is limited, so reserve your spot now!
