Name of the Project :
Equipment/Facilities:
Location :
NORMAL AND EMERGENCY CIRCUIT BREAKER
a.) Check the proper labeling of normal, Emergency and commom circuit breaker.
b.) Check the inside components for possible problem in the transferring like dust and foreign objects.
c.) Check if there is a "mechanical interlock" installed between normal and emergency circuit breaker.
d.) All joints of the busbar and twerminal connections are properly tightened.
e.)Insulation on conductors should be examined for overheating or chafing that could progress into an
insulation failure. Damaged conductors should be replaced.
f.) Mechanisms should be manually operated to ensure proper working condition.
PAD MOUNTED TRANSFORMER
a.) Check the rated capacity of the transformer.
b.) Check the temperature readings and load current. Excessive temperature indicates an overload or
perhaps some interference with the normal means of cooling.
c.) Check the pressure and vacuum gauges.
d.) Check the insulators and insulating surfaces of bushing for trackings, cracks, or chipped skirts, and
the gasket bases for leaks.
LOAD BREAK SWITCH
a.) Check the specification of the vacuum circuit breaker.
b.) Check the arm lever for manual operation.
c.) Check the selector switch of the vacuum circuit breaker. Should have a permanent cover to avoidaccidental contact.
SAFETY CONCERNS
a.) Check the entrance /exit incase emergency problems occurred. Should be free from obstruction.
b.) Fire extinguisher should be present in the area.
c.) All live parts should be covered with appropriate enclosures.
d.) It should never assumed that acircuit breaker is in the open position because the handle mechanism
is in the open position. Always double check for safety.
f.) Lighting system in the area should be properly illuminated.
