Whereas by Government Notification No. ~2/99/91-RD dat€d 10-6-1991 published on pages 206 to 211 'Of Serit¥ U, No. 13, Extraordinary No. 2ofOfficial Gazette dated 21-6-91 and in ,two newspapers (1) Herald dated 19-6-1991 and (ii) Rashtramat dated 23-6-1991, subsequent corrigendum 'Of even number dated 27-12-1991, published 'On page 771 of Series n, No; 42 of OfficUl.l G82ette dated ·16-1-1992 'and in two news­papers (i)NavhiIid Times dated 8::-1-1992an,d (ii)Gomantak dated 6-1-'l'992,dt,wasnotifiedundersection 4 of the ,Land AcqutSitionAct, i894 (Central Act 1 of 1894) (hereinafter referred to as "thesrud· Act") ,that the . !and specified in the schedule appended "to the. said Notification (hereinafter l'eferred to as the· "said .land") was likely to be needed fer public purpose, viz. Land Acquisitien fercenstruction 'Of new Bread Gauge line between Reha· and Mangalere in villages POinguinimand Loliem 'Of Cr-nac:erta Taluka.

And whereas the Government 'Of Goa. (.hereiIiafter referred te ,as the "Qovernment") , being of the opinion that the acquisiti'On of the said land is urgen,tly necessary, hereby applies the previsionS 'Of sub-section (1) and sub-section (4) 1)f section· 17 'Of the said Act and directs that the Cellector appoiIited Uitder paragraph 2· below, shall· at any time en the expiry of fifteen. days f:rom the datc<;»f the' publication 'Yf the netice relatingtethe said land under sub-section (1) of sectien 9 'Of. tlie said Act, take possessien 6f the said land,

NOW, .therefore, the GQvernment hereby declares u.t'lder the provisions of section 6 of the said Act,· that the said land is ,requ~red fer the public purpose specified above.

2. The Government also hereby appoints under clause (c) of sectien 3 0If the said Act, the Special Land Acquisitien Officer (KoIikan Railway Corporation Ltd.), Seuth Gea, Davorlim Road, Salcete-.Goa to perferm the functiens of the Collecter for all proceedings hereinafter te be taken in respect 'Of the said land and directs hun under section 7 of the said Act to take 'Order f'Or the/acquisition of the said land.

COl1st1'Uction of Bus-Stand at village Bordem in BichoHm.

And whereas, the Government of Goa (hereinafter referred to as the' "Government") being of the opinion thattheac'lui­sitiort or the said land is urgently necessary, hereby applies the provisions of sub-section (1) and sub-section J4)of section 17 of the said Act and directs that the Collector appoInted under paragraph 2 below, shall, at any tiine, on the expiry of fifteen days from the. date of the publication of the notice, relating to the said land under SUb-section (1) of section 9' of the said Act, take possession of the said, land.

Whereas by Government Notification No. 22/211/91-RD dated 30-9-91 published on pages 583-584 of Series II, No. 33 of'the Official GaJl:ette dated 14-11-91 and in, two newSpapers (1) Navhind Times ,dated 9-10~91 'and(ii) Gomantak ,dated 10-10-91 it 'was notified under section 4 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 (Central Act 1 of 1894) (hereinafter referred to as "the said Act"), that the laJ:ld specified in the Schedule appended 'to the said Notification (hereinafter referred to as the said land), was likely to be needed for public purpos~, viz. Construction. of ,Sanquelim Branch Canal from CH. 6045 m. to 8010 m. of L.B.M.C. of T.I.P. '

And whereas the Government of ,Goa (hereinafter referred to as the "Government"), being of the opinion that the acqtli~ sition of the said land is urgently necessary, hereby applies the provisions of sub-section (1) and sub-section (4) of, section 17 of the said Act and directs that the ,Collector appointed under paragraph 2 below, shall at any time on the expiry of fifteen days from the date of the publication of the notice relating to the said land under sub-section' (i) of ,section 9 of. the said Act, take possession of , the said lan(j.

Now, therefore,the Government hereby declares l.U1der the provisions of section 6 of the said Act, that the said land is required for 'the public purpose specified above.

2. The Gove~ent also hereby appoints under claus~ (c) of section 3 of, t1).e said Act," the Special Land Acquisition ,Otficer (North)" 1v.r0rOd, Mapusa ,to perform thetunctioIl$ 4)f ,the Collector for all proceedings, hereinafter to b'etakeh

. No. 22/244/91-RD

Whereas it appears .to the -Government of Goa (herein-' after referred to as "the Government") that the land specified in the schedule hereto (hereinafter referred to as the "said land") is likely to-be needed for public purpose, Viz. for construction of Bus Stand at Pernem. -

And whereas in the opinion of the Government the provi­siOns of sub-section (1) of section 1'1. of the Land Acquisition Ad, IBM (Central Act 1 of 1894) (hereinafter referred to as "the said Act"), are applicable.

Now, therefore, the' Government hereby notifies under sub-sectlon(1) of section 4 of the .said Act that the said land is likely to be. needed for the purpose specified above.

The Gover'.Qment further. directs. under sub-section (4) of section 17 of the "said Act that the prOvisions of section 5A of the said Act '~ha1l not apply in respect of the said land.

2. All persons interested in the said landat:e hereby warned not to obstruct or interfere with any survejror or other persons employed upon the said land' for the purpose of the said acq~isition. Any contract for the disposal 00f the. said land by sale, lease, mortgage, assignment, exchange or otherwise, or any outlay commenced or improvements made thereon without the sanction' of the Collector, appointed under para­graph 4 below, after the date of the publication of this notification, will, under clause (seventh) of section 24 of the said Act, be disregarded by him while assessing compensation for such parts of· the said land as may be finally acquired.

3. If the Government is· satisfied that the said land :is needed for the aforesaid purpose, a declaration to that effect under section 6 of' the said Act will ,be published in the

Official Gazette and in two daily newspapers and public notice thereof shall be given· in due course. If the acquisitiol'! is abandoned wholly or in part, the fact will also be notified in the san'le matUler. .,

4. The Government further appoints, undel'clause (c) of section 3 of the said Act Deputy" Collector (Development~, Collectorate North, Panaji to perform. the functions of a Collector, North GOa District, Panaji under the said Act. ili respect of the said land. .

. 5. The Government also authori~, under sub-section (2) of. section 4 of the said .'Act, the following o«icers to do the acts, specified therein in . respect ·of the said land. .

2. The Deputy. Collector (Development), Collectorate North, Panaji-Goa.
