We manufacture a wide range of internal fittings from steel to provide additional strength. Toolless installation of the internals makes it very quick and easy to adjust and reconfigure solutions.

All internals are designed and manufactured in-house in our Somerset factory.

StorageWall is manufactured to suit the specific site conditions, to maximise the space available and to minimise site installation time. The system is fully demountable and relocatable with no redundancy of parts. With its height adjustability, it is easy to relocate, even to different buildings.

StorageWall will generate between 23% and 56% more storage capacity than equivalent free-standing units. Air – Individual Moveable Panel System The Air range is an individual panel partition system offering an acoustic insulation rating of up to 59dB Rw. Ideally suited for high specification applications due to the sheer flexibility, numerous stacking arrangements available and its impressive acoustic qualities.

Infinity – Continuously Hinged System The Infinity range is a continuously hinged system offering mid level acoustic performance. With multiple fixed rubber sweep seals, it can offer an acoustic insulation up to 45dB Rw. For added flexibility, or when there is no suitable structure to suspend from, the Infinity can be supplied as a bottom rolling option, running along a low profile floor track.

PARTITIONING

Manufactured to suit specific site conditions, maximise the space available and to minimise site installation time, our modular systems create cellular offices, meeting rooms and breakout areas within open plan spaces.

Using combinations of solid, glazed and part glazed panels and doors, either room dividing or wall backing StorageWall all come together to form a fully demountable and re-locatable structure.

Using a membrane press, we are able to produce decorative sculpted panels consisting of routed MDF with a pressure-formed laminate surface layer. The possibilities are endless, ranging from a woodgrain effect to high gloss or metallic surface. This coupled with CNC routed design, creates a stunning finish which adds real impact to your interior. You can have a bespoke textured design created or you can create your own design.

We are able to apply graphics to the StorageWall that will maximise your opportunities for corporate branding and also add a decorative design element to your office environment. The graphics have a protective laminate ensuring long term durability. We can also offer dry wipe or pinnable surface to the StorageWall.

Delivering a bespoke audio-visual alcove to facilitate smarter working.

The way businesses communicate and share information is changing. High quality video conferencing enables them to stay connected, helping save time and money, whilst increasing productivity.

Working in partnership with Artemis Interior Services on behalf of Sumitomo, we were asked to design and deliver a custom acoustic MediaWall to house a nine screen television for video conferencing, enabling smarter, more connected communications.

From the outset, the client had a very clear brief – to deliver a bespoke, seamless audio-visual alcove to exacting dimensions, measuring 3800mm wide x 2200mm high. This required a comprehensive survey and detailed planning.

This project presented the team at James Tobias with an interesting opportunity, as our standard alcoves do not exceed 2800mm wide. To counter this, we engineered a new custom solution.

In addition, working with the acoustic board generated its own challenges. Therefore, our manufacturing and installation teams needed to work with thorough precision.

Using our MediaWall solution, we designed and delivered an impressive fully-functional audio-visual alcove in acoustic light ferrera oak board that maximised capacity and minimised floor space requirements.

Creating a contemporary environment within a Victorian interior.

Architects PRP, based in a former Victorian factory in Thames Ditton, Surrey, enlisted the services of Crisp Design and James Tobias to refurbish their ground floor office space.

The brief was to create a modern, functional space that enhanced the building’s industrial heritage but offered an optimum working environment and maximum storage capacity.

The James Tobias team brought together two individual solutions to create a bespoke solution – the full-height StorageWall, incorporating the SW11 open-fronted modules with SW20 sliding door modules and separate low level lockers, all finished in a white to create a clean, sharp, modern office feel.

James Tobias StorageWall is manufactured to suit specific site conditions, to maximise the space available and to minimise site installation time.

Helping bring a Victorian school building into the 21st century.

In 2014, Barry Island Primary School in South Wales invested in a considerable classroom refurbishment programme, to reinvigorate the school’s learning environment for its staff and pupils.

With any refurbishment project, whether it’s within a school, college or university, it is vital to consider how to create a flexible teaching environment that maximises valuable classroom space whilst ensuring essential storage requirements for everyday items are accommodated easily and effectively.

Working closely with bof (Bridgend Office Furniture), James Tobias overcame the challenges of increased ceiling heights and untrue walls to design and fit the

innovative EducationWall – a run of modular storage units to house all the key elements you’ll find in a modern classroom – such as smart/interactive screens, Gratnell trays, charging points for tablets/laptops and lockers, to name a few.

The innovative storage unit helps staff and students reclaim all important classroom space, offering maximum flexibility and excellent storage capabilities.

The refurbishment programme represents a huge step forward for the school and we are proud of the result – a practical, flexible, ergonomic stylish storage solution that helps the school provide a tidy, safe and open learning environment where students can get on with the important task of learning.
