Objectives of the OCAThe Office of Consumer Affairs offers a variety of services and supports to

persons and families with behavioral health recovery and disabilities challenges, other state agencies and providers. The Office of Consumer Affairs will:

· Referrals, education, one-on-one problem solving & system navigation

· Provide input on the development and implementation of policies and programs

· Provide an advocacy voice to stakeholder groups throughout the state

· Assist DHS with sharing information and gathering feedback

• Established 5 Regional Advisory Committees• Created website, ocaiowa.org• Created a Facebook Page• MHDS Redesign Advocacy• Coordinated 10 MHDS Redesign Public Forums

with over 1,000 attendees• Community Outreach
