Passed & Signed during the 2007 Legislative Session
Collaborative Effort of the HUB Office, Statewide M/WBE Program Administrators, N M/WBE Coordinators’ Network and Resource Organizations
Gives Secretary of Administration the Authority to:
-Develop and Administer a Program for the Certification of a Historically Underutilized Business as defined in G.S. 143-128.4
-Create a Single Database of Certified HUB firms
Statewide Uniform Certification Program (SWUC)
Developed criteria, which is the proposed SWUC Program Plan.
Can be viewed on HUB Office website at www.doa.nc.gov/hub
Public Hearing for the proposed SWUC Rules was held January 14, 2009
Another Public Hearing for the proposed SWUC Rules on April 8, 2009
Program Implemented and Everyone uses by July 1, 2009
