CDG was a subconsultant on this project. This project scope closely relates to the anticipated scope for trail systems in the State of Arizona On-call.

$600,000 CDG completed landscape design services for a pedestrian friendly greenspace and ‘pocket park’ in a dense urban setting. CDG’s scope was to refine the design concept prepared by the City of Mesa and develop construction documents within a short schedule and tight budget.

CDG studied streetscape retrofit improvement alternatives and prepared an analysis of existing conditions, opportunities, constraints for proposed street cross section alternatives. All materials submitted as part of a response to a solicitation are subject to Arizona public records law and will be disclosed if there is an appropriate public records request at the time of or after the award of the contract. Amy prepared the DCR written and graphic sections for landscape, hardscape, and bridge aesthetics while managing the scope and schedule. This project consisted of a bike and multi-modal connector through a grade-separated crossing of the I-17 providing a much needed non-motorized link across the existing freeway.

Amy Schuchert, PLA, ASLA
Ms. Schuchert expertise spans a full range of public sector projects with a focus on transportation and infrastructure design that have strong pedestrian and multi-use trail components. Working as the Prime Consultant, Mr. Petersen coordinated the multidisciplinary team through design and construction administration 25-acre expansion of the existing Snedigar Park facilities provided the much-needed fields for recreation league soccer and the first official Cricket pitch in southern Arizona. New fields were integrated into retention basins and are watered by the Chandler reclaimed water system to limit the environmental impact of the extensive use of turf area.

48th Street Basin, Phoenix, Flood Control District of Maricopa CountyPrepared irrigation plans for this 40-acre basin. Irrigation was designed to include both drip and spray systems. The basin was developed for use as multiple soccer fields with each field being watered as a unit. Irrigation lines were sighted so that future lighting installations would not interfere with the irrigation system, which was designed to City of Phoenix standards.
Bullard Wash, GoodyearPrepared irrigation plans for a 3-mile-long linear park. The irrigation system included a combination of drip, spray, and rotor, storage tanks and included 3 complete pressure pumping system; designed using effluent water and incorporated all precautions for the safety of the public. Calculated the estimated applied water use and minimum irrigation systems for capacity.
Chandler-Gilbert Community College, Chandler Prepared irrigation plans for the entire campus including coordination of existing landscape irrigation and campus maintenance personnel. The irrigation system was designed to incorporate existing landscape and new controllers, and to be installed in various phases. This system was designed to meet City of Phoenix/MAG standards.
East Maricopa Floodway PH2, Flood Control District of Maricopa County Designed a drip irrigation system for 173 acres of landscape including master valves flow sensors Motorola Controllers, and designed to combine the needs of the Flood Control and the City of Gilbert.
