Hence science, technology and development are all supplimentary to each other. Modernization in every aspect of life is the greatest example of the implementation of science and technology in every nation. There is an urgent need to give emphasis on technique and technology so that technology becomes beneficial for the national development. India has made major strides in the field of science and technology and it has left its mark on every aspect of human life. There has been remarkable development in education, communication, agriculture, industry etc. The global economic output has increased 17 folds in the 20th century. The public and community must be inspired and motivated to appreciate and understand the role played by indigenous science and technology for the development and advancement of India. Making or manufacturing of any product or service is not possible unless we know the science behind it. Call for Papers Research papers from all branches of science and technology are invited for oral/poster presentations in the technical sessions of the conference. Selected abstracts and invited articles will be published in the proceedings of conference. An abstract of about 100-150 words typed in ‘Times New Roman’/‘Kruti Dev 021’, camera ready format using MS word, Font Size 12, line Spacing 1.0 in black color should be submitted to the Convener, ISCA: Haridwar Chapter via email:[email protected] latest by October 20, 2016. Selected papers will be published in an online journal with ISSN 0975-6272. Language of Paper May be English or official language (Hindi) Parallel Technical Sessions 01. The Indian Science Congress Association (ISCA)

The Indian Science Congress Association (ISCA),

the premier organisation of scientists of the

country owes its origin to the foresight and

initiative of two British Indian Chemists, namely

Professor J. L. Simonsen and Professor P. S. Mac

Mohan. The first meeting of the congress was held

from January 15 to 17, 1914 at the premises of the

Asiatic Society, Calcutta. The Association was

formed with following objectives:

?To advance and promote the cause of Science in

India

?To hold an annual congress at a suitable place in

India

?To publish proceedings, journals, transactions

etc

?To popularize Science

The Indian Science Congress Association was

established 102 years back for propagation of

cause of Science. It has 14 sections related to

different branches of Science.

ISCA: Haridwar Chapter

The Haridwar Chapter of The Indian Science

Congress Association was established in 2013.

Since then, this chapter has organized various

activities like organizing the Innovator's

exhibition, Selection of Science Communicators'

for sending them to the Annual Conference of

ISCA, Adoption of village, celebrating National

Science Day, Organizing Invited talks by eminent

scientists from various fields and organizing

Conferences/Symposia etc. It is important to

mention that this chapter has successfully

organised 06 Conferences during last two and half

year. These are mentioned below:

1. One day Symposium on Innovations in Science

& Technology for Inclusive Development was

organized by ISCA Haridwar Chapter on February

16, 2014 at Gurukul Kangri University, Haridwar.

2. Two days National conference on “Advances in

Chemical & Environmental Sciences (ACES-

2014)” in association with Arya PG College,

Panipat, at Panipat on February 27-28, 2014.

3. Two days National Conference on Innovations

in Science & Technology for Inclusive Development (NC2014 ISCA HARIDWAR CCSU), was organized jointly by ISCA: Haridwar Chapter and Department of Chemistry, C.C.S. University, Meerut, from March 22-23, 2014 at CCS University, Meerut.

4. One day regional symposium was organized

on the theme “Technovations for Inclusive

Human Development” by ISCA: Haridwar

Chapter on October 12, 2014 at Faculty of

Engineering & Technology, Gurukula Kangri

University, 10th km Haridwar Delhi Highway,

Near Shani Dev Mandir Bahadarabad Haridwar.

A special technical session in Official Language

(Hindi) was organized during the conference.

5. Two days National Conference on “Science &

Technology for Human Development” has been

organized by ISCA: Haridwar Chapter at

Department of Ancient Indian History, Culture

and Archaeology, GKV, Haridwar, from 20-21

March, 2015.

6. Three days National Conference on “ Science

& Technology for Indigenous Development in

India” at Faculty of Engineering & Technology,

Gurukula Kangri University, Haridwar from 28-

30 September, 2015.

About Gurukula Kangri Vishwavidyalaya

(GKV), Haridwar

The Gurukula Kangri Vishwavidyalaya was

established in 1902 by the Great martyr Swami

Shraddhanandji . It is 114 year old

Vishwavidyalaya based on the Gurukula

System of Education as prescribed in Vedas-the

ancient knowledge source of India. It aimed to

create a viable environment for students for

higher learning and research in the areas of

Basic and Applied sciences, Engineering, Vedic

literature, Indian philosophy, Indian culture,

literature etc. The basic task before the

Vishwavidyalaya is to enhance the physical, moral and

intellectual strength of both girls and boys to make

them ideal citizens. This is a NAAC ‘A’ grade
