Title: 1 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The presentation of case studies contributes effectively to the embodiment of
excellence in ViMM's results. The objective of the activity is to support the goals of
ViMM by providing an informative content on the state-of-the-art of technologies for
Virtual Museums (VM) and by identifying examples of several reliable integrations.
These examples of excellence are being published on the ViMM platform and l include
various best-case studies of VM and the latest innovations and advances in the state-
of-the-art in fields such as VR/AR.
Each Thematic Area (TA) will produce an seven or eight case studies beforel the end
of the project. The platform will then contain a total of 50 such examples of
excellence..
A guideline document, specifying the content and the format that each case study
should have, was prepared in D5.1, to supportr standardized data gathering in order to
support consistency in the presentation of the examples.
This deliverable outlines the first phase of the representation of excellence, consisting
of the preparation of 12 case studies following the common guidelines described in
D5.1.
As a conclusion of the executed work, future implementations will be seek to improve
the presentation of the examples and the formatting of elements to provide good
Search Engine Optimisation (SEO )value for the case studies page.

Title: 2 INTRODUCTION
The main objective of the “case studies” is to contribute to this project by providing
Informative content concerning the state-of-the-art of technologies for VM and by
identifying examples of reliable integration.
The task of WP5 is to organise the collection of the case studies produced by all the
partners and to produce guidelines for their presentation and publication.
These examples of excellence are being published on the ViMM platform and will
include various best case studies of VM and the latest innovations and advances in the

Title: 4 OBJECTIVES OF WORK PACKAGE 5 AND THE RELATED TASKS
The main objective of the WP5 is to enliven and update the process of discussion and
consensus building in ViMM by providing a flow of interesting representations – in a
variety of formats - of excellence and relevant cases which can illuminate challenges
and issues identified by ViMM. The tasks within this work-package include:
Task 5.1 A delivery schedule for partners in each Thematic Area of candidate case
study and representations
Task 5.2 These representations, throughout the Action, can secure the collaboration,
obtained by key institutions in the VM field.
Task 5.3 The selected representations will be necessarily modified for web
presentation and, where appropriate, it will be made a focus of discussion through the
ViMM communication platform and the project events which will take place throughout
the Action.

Title: 5 WORK CARRIED OUT
In order to standardize the collection of examples and to facilitate the production of a
short version for the publication on the platform, general guidelines had been
previously delivered (D5.1) specifying the format and content that each case should
have. The instructions were designed to be consistent with ViMM communication
platform requirements.
The proposed template is for text-based case studies and is structured as follows:
• The title page containing the full title of the case study and should reflect the content of the paper in order to
attract the reader’s attention • Keywords
important for search engine
• Abstract
• Introduction One or two opening paragraphs providing the context of the case study
• Description Main objective Description of the example How it was created
• Future Prospects • Conclusions
• References
Additionally, a Gantt chart scheduling representations of excellence (Case studies)
relevant to each Thematic Area has been delivered in the same document.
The number of examples to be produced is allocated to the partners equitably and their
delivery is distributed over the entire period of the project on a regular basis.
