Peace and hope: all of us would like to begin the day with a smile and a positive thought, and end it enjoying images of serenity and beauty. These are concepts that humanity has always sought from the great Greek think-ers to the present day.
This illustrated book unites the pleasure of the evocative photographs with the thoughts and reflections of great personalities from the past and present.
A book to look at and read, to distract ourselves and reflect, that will keep us company for a year of optimism and positive thoughts. A present for someone we care about or who is in need of a ray of sunshine, an op-portunity to find a moment of peaceful tranquility.
To wish for others and ourselves a year of peace and hope.

GABRIELE ATRIPALDI has a classical education and a law degree and has always been irresistibly attracted to words, to the point of making them his livelihood. He is fluent in English and has worked as an interpret-er with many internationally famous writers. He has also translated a range of works for important publishing houses (biographies, technical works, comic-strips etc.) as well as for prominent magazines like GQ and Rolling Stone (for the latter, in particular, he had translated an exclusive interview with Obama at the time of his election, previewed in Corriere della Sera). A lover of writing in all its forms (from stories to song lyrics) he has been called a “narragista”, that is, a narrator-editor, due to his remarkably cine-matographic literary style.
