Chair’s welcome

Dear colleague Welcome to the Institute of Fundraising Northern Ireland’s Annual Conference 2015. This year’s theme is “Fundraising by example”. A lot has happened in the industry over the last 12 months. I hope today will give you some insight into those changes, we are delighted to have Daniel Flusky who leads on policy changes at the Institute of Fundraising and Frances McCandles; Charity Commission of Northern Ireland, who I am sure will be able to shed a little light on what governance changes are afoot. Most importantly, we are here today not only to celebrate the fantastic wealth of knowledge we have in Northern Ireland, but to draw on expertise from across other organisations in the UK. I have no doubt that you will walk away from today’s conference feeling inspired and I urge you to use the breakout sessions to your advantage and network with your fellow fundraisers to share best practice and build key contacts across the sector. I am very grateful for the support of Mango Ethical Direct Marketing, our lead sponsor, along with Will to Give In addition to this, I would like to thank Minprint for their continued assistance with the design and print of all conference materials. I would like to thank everyone who sits on the IOF Northern Ireland Committee. Each member kindly volunteers their time and the conference is only possible with their hard work and dedication. Please do not forget to complete the evaluation forms provided after each session. Your feedback is very valuable to us.Lastly, I would like to wish you an enjoyable and inspirational day!
