Wireless Phone Compatibility Many JK Audio products provide a connection to a wireless (cell) phone. While our interface cables plug directly into the headset/earpiece jack on many phone models, there are some phones that are designed to prevent operation with third party accessories. In most cases, if you can use a generic, third party headset with your cell phone, you can use your JK Audio product as well. Also, while some wireless phones have an acceptable 2.5 mm or 3.5 mm jacks, others require a headset adapter to convert their proprietary connector to an acceptable jack. JK Audio does not offer these adapters.

Connect to Smart Phones The CN113 adapter cable is now shipping with select JK Audio products. This four conductor 3.5 mm headset adapter cable is compatible with most iPhones, Android phones, and notebook computers.

The CN113 adapter cable allows audio to be sent through the headset jack of these new phones and notebooks, allowing send and receive of voice band audio during regular calls, or full bandwidth audio using third party codec applications.

This cable ships with Daptor Two, ComPack, RemoteMix One, RemoteMix 2, RemoteMix 3.5, RemoteMix 4 and Interchange.JK Audio. Inc.

THAT-2™Telephone Handset Audio Tap

Handset Tap + Send Input. Connect the THAT-2 between your telephone and handset for quick access to audio in and out of the telephone. The THAT-2 is used by radio stations to record and play sound bites, and by TV and film sound crews to get IFB and dialog over phone lines.

Plus More Control. A push-button selects whether the handset audio or line input will be sent into the telephone. The output jacks contain a mix of audio from both sides of the conversation. The THAT-2 will emulate the type of microphone that is in the handset and allow you to send audio into many different types of analog and digital PBX sets, as well as ISDN or VoIP telephones.

QuickTap™Telephone Handset Tap

Quick and Simple. QuickTap gives you an easy way to record telephone interviews to your portable recorder or even directly to your computer sound card to be uploaded to your podcast. For group listen applications, the Output jack can be connected to a powered speaker or PA system. This jack contains a nice mix of both sides of the conversation.

CellTap 4C™Wireless Phone Audio Tap

Capture Both Sides of the Conversation. CellTap 4C is an interview recording adapter that’s compatible with most smart phones, tablets, and notebooks that use the 4-conductor 3.5 mm TRRS headset jack. Connect CellTap 4C between the existing ear-bud headset and phone, and then connect the stereo output to a mic level input on your recorder or mixer. The transformer coupled stereo output provides the local mic on the left channel and the caller on the right channel. The local audio is a full bandwidth connection.

Daptor Two™Wireless Phone Audio Interface

Remote Broadcasts or IFB feeds over a cell phone? Simply plug Daptor Two into the headset jack of any wireless phone or notebook computer that accepts a third party headset or earpiece. Send and receive voice band audio from your mixer during regular calls, or full bandwidth audio using third party codec applications. You may use either the XLR input or 1/4" input, not both. Your device will recognize Daptor Two as a headset which will disable the internal mic and speaker.

Conference Room: Easily connect your PA system to the telephone system. The echo canceller algorithm prevents feedback and allow full duplex conversations.

Why a Digital Hybrid? The main function of any hybrid is to bring in the caller’s voice from the phone line, as clear and clean as possible. In the real world, when you send your voice down the telephone line it has a tendency to bleed over into the caller’s audio. The hybrid must adapt to the phone line in order to properly separate transmit and receive audio. We use a 16-bit DSP to monitor the phone line and audio signals continuously in order to deliver excellent separation. Our dual-convergence echo canceller algorithm can achieve excellent transhybrid loss, typically exceeding 50 dB, without any setup and without sending a burst of noise into the phone line.

AutoHybrid™Full Duplex Auto-Answer Hybrid

Not just another half duplex auto-coupler. This simple, passive, auto-answer/disconnect telephone line hybrid allows simultaneous send and receive audio through analog telephone lines. Suitable for monitoring remote locations, IFB feeds, and many simple studio, conferencing, and PA telephone interface applications.

Full Duplex. Yes, you can send and receive audio at the same time. The dual transformer hybrid is capable of 20 dB nominal trans-hybrid loss. In other words, your transmit signal will appear mixed with the receive signal, but at a level 20 dB lower than it was sent into the phone line.

Auto-Answer. The "Auto" feature is very simple. When the "Auto" switch is selected, AutoHybrid will answer on the first ring. The phone line will remain off-hook, until either the Drop button is depressed, or until the phone company releases the line.

innkeeper LTD™Digital Auto-Answer Hybrid

Go digital for more desirable quality. Compared to the AutoHybrid, the innkeeper LTD auto-answer/disconnect hybrid allows you to send line level signals into the phone line while maintaining greater separation between the talent's voice and the caller. The balanced XLR output jack contains only the caller’s voice, making this the perfect companion to mixers, consoles, and PA systems that demand talk show quality audio from a phone line.

16-bit DSP Technology. The digital hybrid connects audio signals to a standard analog telephone line without the transmit / receive crosstalk common to analog hybrids. Its Digital Signal Processor (DSP) continuously monitors both the phone line and audio signals to deliver excellent separation. This proprietary, dual-convergence echo canceller algorithm can achieve excellent separation, typically exceeding 50 dB, without any setup and without sending a noise burst down the line. While this may sound complicated, it’s all done automatically during every call.

A Hybrid Jam-Packed with Features. This single-line hybrid is perfect for radio or television talk shows, teleconferencing, or auto-answer IFB feeds. From the front panel you can call, drop and adjust headphone volume. Front panel LEDs display signal levels and option status. The Send and Caller Volume controls and feature switches are hidden behind an access panel to prevent unauthorized “tweaking”. innkeeper 1rx is compatible with Guest Module 1 and RIU-IP remote control interfaces. For Talk Show applications combine innkeeper 1rx with the Concierge 2x6 Switch Core and Guest Module GM2x6 ( on page 21).

Automatic Gain Control (AGC). Adjusts the caller volume to an average level. AGC will tame a loud caller, and boost a quiet caller or quiet long distance connection.

Caller Ducking. Drops the Caller output level by 9 dB whenever the host speaks. This keeps the host “in charge” of the show, automatically making sure the caller never overpowers the host by attempting to talk over the host’s voice.

Presence. Press the “Presence” button to get a richer sound from the caller’s voice. This digital filter brings back some of the low-end lost in transmission.

Remote Control. Control innkeeper 1rx with the Guest Module 1, Screw Terminals, a RS-232 cable or the RIU-IP Remote IP Interface. See pg 16.

innkeeper 2 & 4™Multi-Line Digital Hybrids

When a Single Line Hybrid Isn't Enough. Innkeeper 2 / innkeeper 4 squeeze two/four independent digital hybrids in a 1U rack space to extract each caller's voice into separate channels. Each phone line has an individual send and receive XLR jack. While this should be enough for most applications, there are several applications that require a “Master” audio input. This additional XLR input mixes with the audio of the individual channel send jacks. By default, the master input will mix into all four channels. The front panel menu system allows you to turn off the master signal from any or all phone lines. For Talk Show applications combine innkeeper 2 with the Concierge 2x6 Switch Core and Guest Module GM2x6 ( on page 21).

Menu System. The front panel keypad, display, and handset jacks provide easy speed dialing and call setup. The menu driven keypad and back-lit display allows you to store 50 phone numbers by name in a phone list. You can also use the display to set features such as the number of rings before auto answer, master send channel selection, and test tone output.

innkeeper 2 Conferencing. Innkeeper 2 has a convenient conference feature that joins two active phone calls together. Menu options determine how the conference is joined, providing several options to ease mix-minus setup.

Great Sound. In our remote field mixers, a soft limiter prevents overdriving the phone line interfaces, while the mixer's XLR output is pre-limiter (full range). Convenient 3.5 mm send and receive jacks for recording the show, or mixing in your MP3 player. Exclusive to the RemoteMix 4, Bass Boost adds some low end before sending the signal down the phone line.

Power Smart Design. Low noise, low power ICs are used throughout either of these mixers to preserve battery life. The low noise 100-240 VAC desktop style power supply (included) overrides the battery power only when the supply is actually providing power. If the power goes out, the batteries automatically cut in. The phantom power generator in the RemoteMix 4 only runs if any of the rear panel 48 V switches are set to “ON”.

Mix It Up. RMx4 combines a four-channel field mixer with a four-channel headphone amplifier. After all, what good is a field mixer if you don’t have a flexible monitoring capability for the whole crew?

Great Sound. A soft limiter prevents overdriving the full-duplex headset interface, while the master XLR and 3.5 mm outputs are pre-limiter (full range). Line level cue input to the headphones make RMx4 a perfect companion to your codec or recorder.

Convenient. 3.5 mm send and receive jacks for recording or playing back recorded material. Separate headphone level and source selection controls for each headphone output. Monitor just the clean mixer output, or the Cue input plus the mix.

Power Smart Design. Switchable 48V Phantom Power on each mic input. Powered by 1 or 2 hot-swappable 9V batteries that automatically kick in if AC power goes down. Cuts through the Crowd Noise. The RemoteAmp is a simple battery-powered personal headphone amplifier. Use the RemoteAmp as an IFB earpiece or headphone amplifier. This low-distortion, 1 watt amplifier will cut through the crowd noise without distortion.

Interchange™Intercom Phone Bridge

The Missing Link. Interchange allows remote access to your party-line intercom through JK Audio Innkeeper Series Digital Hybrids. This professional half rack interface provides a four wire audio interface and remote control connection for JK Audio innkeeper LTD, innkeeper 1rx, or innkeeper 2 Digital Hybrids for POTS lines. Likewise, couple a JK Audio PBXport with an Interchange for PBX/VoIP lines. The front panel headset interface jack allows easy connection of your cell phone, tablet, or computer allowing remote access through a wireless phone or conferencing app.

Interchange contains a sophisticated intercom hybrid in a low noise pro audio design. The Listen-Always design allows both the phone hybrid / 4-wire connection and the cell phone headset interface to monitor the intercom just like any other belt pack. Listen mode is a high impedance bridging tap on the intercom line. Talk mode is enabled via a front panel switch, either Off, On, or Auto. Auto follows the phone hybrid Auto-Answer mode. Talk mode uses a solid state relay to properly couple Talk audio from the phone line and cell phone interfaces, to the intercom channel.

The Innkeeper 2 conference feature allows two callers to share one intercom connection. Alternatively, the included cables allow Line 1 and Line 2 of the Innkeeper 2 to be connected to two separate Interchange™ units, allowing connection to separate intercom loops.

BlueSet™Wireless Headset Interface

Communications Unleashed. These headset interfaces plug directly into most Party-Line (PL) belt packs, replacing the wired headset. A 3.5 mm stereo headset jack contains a mic level output signal suitable for recording, with the beltpack headphone signal on the left channel, and the Bluetooth return signal on the right. A switch selects between connection to a 3rd party Bluetooth headset or a cell phone.

Headset Connect: Leave your belt pack on the desk as you walk around the room. Some Bluetooth headsets allow you to switch between two phones, or in this case, switch between your intercom and your cell phone.

Phone Connect: Pair BlueSet to your cell phone to grant remote access to the Party-Line for a distant member. The belt pack Mic/Talk button controls audio from the cell phone into the intercom system.

Interloop™Wired/Wireless Intercom BeltPack

Stay in the Loop. Interloop™ works with industry standard Two-Wire, Party-Line intercoms, connecting to the existing intercom system like any other belt pack. Utilizing Bluetooth Wireless Technology, a rear panel switch selects Headset or Phone connection. Headset mode allows you to connect to a Bluetooth enabled headset for wireless freedom. Phone mode allows you to connect to a wireless phone to let others join in, or connect to a notebook or laptop to provide remote voice access using VoIP applications such as Skype™.

Battery Backup. Powered by the intercom system, yet uses less current than a typical belt pack. Includes 9 VDC battery backup, holding the wireless connection while changing cables.

Outerloop™Wireless Intercom BeltPack

In the Loop, Out of Bounds. Outerloop™ functions as a wireless link to your intercom system. This universal belt pack provides connections for your existing 4-pin or 5-pin intercom headset, routing audio through your mobile device over a Bluetooth wireless connection. Use your cell phone to call into your intercom phone bridge or station phone coupler for a global wireless link.

Universality. Adapting to the mixed-up intercom world, model OTL-F features both 4-pin and 5-pin Female XLR headset jacks, while model OTL-M features both 4-pin and 5-pin Male XLR headset jacks. Easy-to-use send and receive level controls, a push-on, push-off Talk button, as well as a recessed sidetone level control. All the comforts of a standard belt pack whether you are around the corner or around the world.

Outerloop also features a switch that selects between pairing to a phone or to a headset. In Phone mode, Outerloop pairs to your cell phone or computer just like any other Bluetooth headset. In Headset mode, you can pair to another Outerloop or to a standard Bluetooth headset, providing a short range secure wireless point-to-point intercom. Outerloop-to-Outerloop connections default to HD Voice (120 Hz to 7 kHz) bandwidth. Outerloop also offers increased range and performance with JK Audio Interloop and BlueSet.
