At the end of the 19th Century the Austro-Hungarian Government in Vienna

declared Lošinj a climatic healing resort. The island then became established

as the very first tourist island along the Austrian Riviera. The air spray of

crystal clear sea mixed with fine scents of Lošinj’s unique nature create

restorative outdoor spa, ideal for rejuvenation of body and mind.

In 1912 leading Austrian architect of the time, Alfred Keller, designed

beautiful Hotel Alhambra – a Mediterranean villa with modernistic,

simple facades that was perfectly integrated into the environment. More

than a hundred years later, the hotel kept its name and remained

the synonym for luxury holidays.
