provide a general overview of projects that currently are under construction and those scheduled to be awarded or begin construction in 2019
The 2019 Construction Program is divided into six sections, one representing each county in District 4. Award dates, expected
completion dates, project descriptions, project locations, cost and maintenance of traffic are listed. Total costs include preliminary
engineering, right-of-way and construction. County maps have also been included for your reference.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Total pavement replacement of US 20 between
Seymour Dr. to just west of Park Ave. and the resurfacing of US 20 from the
eastern Ashtabula Corporation limit to Donahoe Dr. Project also includes minor
bridge repairs. Work completed in 2018 included the pavement replacement along
US 20. Work to be completed in 2019 includes the resurfacing of US 20 from the
eastern Ashtabula Corporation limit to Donahue Dr.
MAINTENANCE OF TRAFFIC: A minimum of one lane of traffic will be
maintained in each direction on US 20.

the replacement of the SR 84 bridge between Walter Main Rd. and LeFevre Rd.
MAINTENANCE OF TRAFFIC: A minimum of one lane of traffic will be
maintained by flaggers on all routes. SR 84 will be closed for 21 days. A detour
will be posted. Access to all residences and businesses will be maintained at all
times throughout construction.

MAINTENANCE OF TRAFFIC: US 322 will close at each bridge for 14 days.
SR 45 will close for five days. These closures will NOT occur at the same time.
All detours will be posted. Access to all residences and businesses will be
maintained at all times throughout construction.

State park.
MAINTENANCE OF TRAFFIC: SR 46 will be closed for seven days. SR 307
will be closed for 21 days. Pymatuning Lake State Park driveway will be
closed for 14 days. All detours will be posted. Access to all residences and
businesses will be maintained at all times throughout construction.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Intersection improvements at SR 46 and Mahoning
Ave., including adding an eastbound right turn lane on Mahoning Ave., and adding
northbound through lane on SR 46. Project also includes curb and signal upgrades
and reduction of speed limit on Mahoning Ave. west of SR 46.
MAINTENANCE OF TRAFFIC: A minimum of one lane of traffic will be
maintained in each direction throughout construction.

CONSTRUCTION COST: $11.6 million TOTAL COST: $14.7 million
START DATE: March 2018 COMPLETION DATE: Oct. 2019
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Construct new interchange at I-680 and SR 164.
Project also includes addition of a southbound lane on SR 164 between I-680 and
SR 626, the addition of a southbound left turn lane on SR 164 at the SR 626
southbound junction, conversion of the SR 626 north junction to a single lane
roundabout and the widening and replacement of the SR 164 bridge over I-76/Ohio
Turnpike. Work completed in 2018 included the widening of SR 164 northbound,
completion of the roundabout and earthwork and drainage at the new interchange.
Work to be completed in 2019 includes the completion of the widening of the SR
164 bridge over the Ohio Turnpike, the widening of SR 164 southbound,
completion of the roundabout islands, lighting and landscaping and completion of
the pavement of the new ramps at SR 164 and I-680.
MAINTENANCE OF TRAFFIC: A minimum of one lane of traffic will be
maintained in each direction on I-680. A minimum of one lane of traffic will be
maintained by flaggers on SR 164 except for a 3-day period where the road
will be detoured. All detours will be posted. Access to all residences and
businesses will be maintained at all times throughout construction.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Repairs to 12 bridges along I-680 between SR 711 to
just south of US 224. Project includes replacement of bridge deck on I-680 bridge
over Cherry Hill Rd., just west of Belle Vista Ave., the removal of the I-680 bridge
over an embankment and miscellaneous repairs to ten other bridges. Project also
includes installation of cable median rail between North Meridian Rd. and Belle
Vista Ave. Work completed in 2018 included the removal of the Renner Brewery
bridge, bridge repairs on the I-680 bridges over Price Rd. and Mahoning Ave. and
the replacement of approach slabs and pavement on I-680 over Oak Hill. Work to
be completed in 2019 includes the reconstruction of the I-680 bridge over Cherry
Hill and the I-680 bridge over the railroad.
MAINTENANCE OF TRAFFIC: Two lanes of traffic will be maintained in each
direction of I-680 via a contraflow traffic pattern. The Bella Vista entrance ramp
I-680 northbound will be closed for 45 days. The ramp from SR 711
southbound to I-680 southbound will be closed for nine months. The ramp
from I-680 southbound to South Ave. will be closed for 14 days. All detours
will be posted. Access to all residences and businesses will be maintained at all
times throughout construction.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Intersection improvements at SR 14 and Tallmadge
Rd. Project includes addition of left turn lanes, curb and radius improvements on
the northwest and southeast corners of the intersection and a signal replacement.
Work completed in 2018 included the widening of the northern side of SR 14.
Work to be completed in 2019 includes the widening of the southern side of SR 14
and the placement of the final layer of asphalt.
MAINTENANCE OF TRAFFIC: A minimum of one lane of traffic will be
maintained in each direction on SR 14.
State Routes 14, 43 & 303 City of Streetsboro

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Upgrade signals along various intersection on SR 14,
SR 43 and SR 303 in the City of Streetsboro to improve connectability. Project
also includes the addition of a right turn lane on SR 14 westbound at SR 43 and a
southbound turn lane on Market Square at SR 14.
MAINTENANCE OF TRAFFIC: A minimum of one lane of traffic will be
maintained by flaggers on SR 14, SR 43 and SR 303.
State Routes 44, 82, 88, 282 & 303 City of Ravenna; Villages of Windham & Mantua; Ravenna & Windham
Townships

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Resurfacing of SR 44 between Mill St. and SR 82, SR
82 from just east of SR 44 to Vaughn Rd., SR 88 from E. Main St. to east of
Cooley Rd., SR 282 from SR 305 to the Geauga County line and on SR 303
between the western Windham Village limit to the Trumbull County line. Project
includes minor bridge repairs and the replacement of the SR 88 bridge just north of
Peck Rd.
MAINTENANCE OF TRAFFIC: A minimum of one lane of traffic will be
maintained by flaggers on all routes. SR 88 will be closed for 60 days. A detour
will be posted. Access to all residences and businesses will be maintained at all
times throughout construction.
