Our physical and digital worlds are merging. There are over 3bn people online, and over 5bn devices.Over the past 25 years, the web of documents now numbers in the billions of pages on a billion websites. The web of data will dwarf the existing web. We need to develop the standards, tools and techniques that will enable help everyone to make the most of the information at their disposal to solve the challenges they face. We need to demonstrate the potential, understand the risks and opportunities, reveal the efficiencies and innovation that are possible, and help people on their journey to a data-driven society.

Development Review Spring 2016Recommendation 10 - Need to bring members together at earliest opportunity
to review this report and agree any recommendations. There will be more sessions like this, need to catch up with those that can’t be here.
Recommendation 1 - Develop the ODI Leeds web presence to provide more information about the organisation and further promote projects, events and other activities.
New Website Coming June 2016, we will be asking you what you want and what works. Recommendation 2 - Explore with ODI HQ how the use of their resources, training and
outputs and be optimised for the benefit of the ODI Leeds community.Pioneer Status means we can do this, we really want to make this work, but £ and take up,
new approach needed.Recommendation 3 - ODI Leeds now needs to push on with the next phase of business
maturity and set out and publish a clearer vision, strategy, values and business plan for the next 12-24 months.
This is the first step – experiment has worked, platform is here, now to build with you – It is pioneering work, will publish on new website.
Recommendation 4 - We need to jointly address ways of expanding engagement within existing organisations as well a growing the membership
base. 1st step 200 free individual memberships, more events FLL’s, linked ODI Leeds & HQ
sponsorships – Sponsorship Model Established & interest is there – Arrow, IBM, Jaywing.
Recommendation 5 - ODI Leeds needs to identify what resources it needs to deliver its plans for the next 12 months and then work with members and
partners to create the necessary team or doers to deliver the plans.1st steps made with new team members and a pipeline of recruits established.
Recommendation 6 - Develop greater transparency by publishing more information on finances, activities, KPIs and outcomes.

Recommendation 7 - Review the events programme for the next 12 months in the context of member feedback and requirements.

Recommendation 9 - Make a proposal to formalise the governance arrangements with immediate effect in accordance with member feedback.
Suggest Advisory Board with specific areas of responsibility – Formal reporting at 3 or 4 meetings with possible Open AGM,
