BRING IT WITH FUN! Sales Managers,
Executive Assistants, Team Leaders, Supervisors
Do your team members place themselves in
the team vision? At your next meeting bring
out the flip chart paper and markers. Ask your
team members to individually draw a picture of
who they are and what their vision is for them-
selves in the context of work in 2010. This
will give you an idea if they have individual goals and if they
even see themselves in the big picture. Their pictures are a
great expression of their personal thoughts so use them to initi-
ate planning discussions.

Do you need to plan a meeting
with a limited budget?
Offsite meetings are a challenge these days because of cut
backs. There are still plenty of opportunities to make offsite
meetings work.
A limited budget usually means you still need everything
you have always needed to facilitate a great meeting but you
may only have half the money you used to have or even less.
Greater Louisville Inc Member to Member discounts help
chamber members work within their new budget restraints.
GLI Members can go to www.greaterlouisville.com, then
click on Chamber, then click on Cost Savings under Mem-
ber Services, then click on MemberMarket, then look for
what service you need. Click on Business Service and then
scroll down to WorkShop to view our coupon.
Our coupon is Free Breakfast to help with the food budget
cuts. The meeting space at WorkShop is half the cost of
other local meeting space and provides you with all the
amenities you would need for your meeting in one low price.
No plus, plus, plus here.
Set your teams up for success. Set the stage for creativity at
your next meeting and see the difference in the results you
get.

With the start of fall, now is a great time to set aside a day
or two to re-evaluate your company's situation. Take time
to determine how you can alter, modify, or shift some exist-
ing products or services to make your company more attrac-
tive to potential customers or existing customers over the
next three to six months. Think outside the box.
Ask yourself and your team what client “need” has been
created by the downturn, but is not currently being ad-
dressed by you or your competitors? How can you meet a
need that is currently not being met, or, even better, how
can you create a need?
If you are not planning or taking actions to adjust to the
current market, you may be putting your company at risk.
A shift in a new direction does not have to be costly, but
failing to shift could be.
Remember the Albert Einstein quote: "Insanity is doing the
same thing over and over again and expecting different
results." Make a difference - meet somewhere different,
ask different people on the team for ideas, do an activity
that sparks the creative thought process with your team
and most of all allow the team to share your vision.
