Local and National News

Maryland becomes a School for Success

Maryland has been selected by the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan as a School for Success, because of the fantastic progress pupils make. Maryland is in the top 6% of schools in London for progress! Mrs Jackson and Mrs Morbin attended a prestigious awards ceremony at City Hall on Friday 27th September to collect our certificate. We will be providing advice and support to other schools on how to be successful too.

We were given the Schools for Success award based on our 2018 results. Once again our 2019 results are excellent and we are performing above the national average for progress at KS2 in reading, writing and maths.

We are also above the national average for attainment with 73% of pupils achieving the expected standard in reading, writing and maths compared to 65% nationally!
