That time of year is approaching rapidly and we are looking forward to the return of you, our friends and euchre family.

Those of us you left behind will be brushing up beginning October 16. We start this brush up time early with play beginning at 6:30 p.m. Tournament time will begin November 1. At that time we will begin at the regular scheduled time of 7:00 p.m. As most of you know, it is best to come early to sign in. It is sometimes difficult to fill up a table. Not yet, but rehearsals for the 2012 LIV Christmas program begin Thursday, November 8th at 4 pm in the Rec. Hall and continue every Tuesday and Thursday (excluding Thanksgiving day) until the program. All singers are welcome regardless of ex-perience. The music is traditional Christmas music. Obituary Wava June Thorson age 85 at Lot 819 East Oyster, passed away on Friday August 24th.She had been an owner in Long Island Village since before 1995.

Wava was from Bloomington Minnesota and was pre-ceded in death by her husband. She was a teacher before retiring . With her strong love for gardening and flowers, she did a lot of work at the Arboretum in Minne-apolis Minnesota. She will be missed by many friends.
