PHOENIX FOOD DAY POLITICAL ACTIVITY
As a reminder, the Mayor and Council approved a new policy at the Sept. 27, 2016 Policy meeting regarding city employees’ ability to participate in Phoenix Mayor and Council elections.
For city of Phoenix elections, the new policy allows city employees to privately express their political opinions with certain restrictions. However, city employees may participate to a greater extent in national, state, county and other municipal elections outside of the city of Phoenix. A.R. 2.16 outlines the several permissible activities that may be conducted in these outside elections.
If you have any questions, please review the new A.R. 2.16 and discuss the issue with your supervisor.
