“He told them another parable: ‘The kingdom of heaven is like a mus-tard seed, which a man took and planted in his field, though it is the smallest of all your seeds, yet when it grows, it is the largest of gar-den plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and perch in its branches.’” Matthew 13:31-32 Today’s reading: Matthew 13:1-53; Mark 4:1-34; Luke 8:1-18

Sheila and Mat Alger have requested prayer for Krista Fiala, who is in their small group for college students. Krista was in a bad car accident and is currently in ICU in a coma. Please pray for Krista, her boyfriend and their families, also for the members of the Alger’s small group. Pray that they will find strength in Jesus Christ and that Krista will recover from this trauma and through it all God will receive the glory.

Sharon Reed has asked for prayer for Charlene Memenga and Mary Smith, both of whom are having knee surgery. Please pray that their surgeries will be successful and their down time will be minimal.

Operation World tells us that Saudi Arabia is the birthplace and stronghold of Islam. Pray that God and the Holy Spirit will have a breakthrough there transforming Islam and glorifying Jesus Christ.

According to Operation World, Senegal, Africa’s religious life is dominated by Islam. Pray that the religious tyranny stop and that God may use all forces to draw people to himself.

Pray for Kosovo in Europe. Pray for the evangelical church and it’s growth. Please pray for unity among believers and for their spiritual maturity.

Remember Stephanie Januski and her family. They have been going through a rough season with medical issues. Please keep praying for healing and renewed energy for the Januski’s.

“He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, ‘Quite! Be still!’ Then the wind died down and it was completely calm. He said to his disciples, ‘Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?’ They were terrified and asked each other, ‘Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey him!’” Mark 4:39-41 Today’s reading: Matthew 8:18-34, 9:18-38; Mark 4:35-5:43; Luke 8:22-56, 9:57-62

“Whoever acknowledges me before men, I will also acknowledge him before my Father in heaven. But whoever disowns me before men, I will disown him before my Father in heaven.” Matthew 10:32-33 Today’s reading: Matthew 10, 14; Mark 6:7-56; Luke 9:1-17; John 6

“He replied, ‘Isaiah was right when he prophesies about your hypo-crites; as it is written: “ ‘ These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. They worship me in vain; their teach-ings are but rules taught by men.’ You have let go of the commands of God and are holding on to the traditions of men.” Mark 7:6-8 Today’s reading: Matthew 15; Mark 7:1-8:10

“Then he said to them all: ‘If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it. What good is it for a man to gain the whole world, and yet lose or forfeit his very self?” Luke 9:23-25 Today’s reading: Matthew 16; Mark 8:11-9:1; Luke 9:18-27

“He called a little child and had him stand among them. And he said: ‘I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever hum-bles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 18:2-4 Today’s reading: Matthew 17, 18; Mark 9:2-50; Luke 9:28-56
