Children of pre kg A learnt about the letter h through a hands on activity.While the children of pre kg B learned about number 1 through sensory and fine motor skills activity of pasting and tracing over the number using different manipulatives..Children of Pre kg c did recap of the letter s and were introduced to the concept of short and tall.

Children of KG 2 explored the concepts of number bonds using different

manipulatives.In Literacy - they

identified and sorted the pictures as

name,place,animal/thing.uw- Children sorted the pet,farm and wild animals and spoke few lines on it.

Children identified and sorted the pronouns and created a pronoun flowers representing

the different pronouns .While in EVS they created a

model of water cycle.

Children participated in Math Day, it made them connect math to various

other fields. They understood math is just not about numbers but much more than that. It created love for math for our children.It boosted their self-confidence to speak up and

present their props to their peers.

GRAMMAR MATTERS!!!

Young children are wonderful in absorbing new language. they can get maximum of language through games and activities that they find funny. Students enjoyed describing themselves and adding adjectives to their names.

GRADE 2: CREATIVE WRITING

Creative writing is all about using your imagination and creativity to express ideas and thoughts in a way which is personal to you. Quite simply, it’s about adding your own ‘flair’ to writing, going beyond the traditional boundaries of academic or other technical forms of literature.Grade 2 kids enjoyed creating their own stories and reading it to their peers.

Hannah Mary Charles of grade 6A, represented the school in the Scinnovation- Inter School event held at JSS private school dubai. She bagged the second position in the scientific poster presentation on the Mobility. We are immensely proud of her achievement.

Students of Grade 2, 3, 6, 7 and 9 represented our school in inter school competitions- Seek Syndrome by IIS, Abu Dhabi and Sciencinnovation by JSS private school, Dubai. Students participated in App making, scientific movie making, future city and animal habitat making competitions. Indeed it was a great learning experience for them.

Students of grades 2-12 engaged in various types of quiz games throughout the week, recapitulating the important concepts amd gearing up for the upcoming term-1 examination in a fun way. Students enjoyed the competitive spirit and are eager to perform their best.

Students of Grade 11, 12 were assessed for their Practicals skills for Term 1 in biology, physics and chemistry. They were made to perform the practicals and were asked to record their observations. Viva was also conducted during the practicals to keep a check on their understanding.

Students of Grade 2 started learning a new chapter-Life in the Desert oasis.They discussed the features of an oasis and how it supports life.They also learned about the irrigation system for the date palms.

The students of Grade 3 did the revision of half-yearly examination.Students discussed about the government and its three branches.They wrote answers for the revision worksheets

This week students of Grade 4 and Grade 5 did revision for the Half Yearly Exam of Social Science. Revision was done from teh Revision Worksheets, doubts were cleared. Quiz was conducted to check the understanding of the students and to cover the learning gaps if any.Students also revised the map work.

Grade 6 & 7 Activity Name: Revision for the Half Yearly Exam (Quizizz/ Oral Quiz/ Map Skills Revision Date: 11/10/2021

Students of Grade 6A/B and 7A/B were actively engaged in the Half Yearly Exam Revision through Oral Questionnaires designed by the students in groups and through Quizizz as well. A special focus was laid on the map skills. Some students plotted the features on the map sheet while the others annotated it online and submitted on the google classroom. They even self-assessed their work.This week students of Grade 6A/B and 7A/B also attempted their Half yearly exam of the UAE SST on 12th October 2021.

This week students of Grade 8 A & B attempted their Half yearly exam of UAE SST on 12th October 2021. Students were made to do revisions in class through revision sheets and in class rapid fire round. As the Mental Health Week is going on we inculcated a Mental Health session through videos and discussion during the UAE SST period as it will be helpful for the students to cope up with the EXAM STRESS and improve their ways to tackle stress, pressure and analyzing the situations.While creating health awareness we celebrated PINK DAY on 14th October.
