TEMPORARY SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT This agreement is made between Oceano Community Services District (Employer) on the one hand, and Thomas Geaslen (Employee) on the other on April 16, 2013. For mutual consideration, the existence and receipt of which is acknowledged by both parties, the parties hereby agree as follows: Employee's employment with Employer is hereby terminated with cause. Employee agrees to reimburse Employer the amount of thirty-six thousand nine hundred sixty-two dollars and thirty-five cents ($36,962.35) on or before April 24, 2013. Neither Employer, its Directors or employees, or Employee, his agents and representatives will discuss the disputes between them, or make any disparaging remarks or comments about the other, either verbally, in writing, electronically or otherwise, except as may be specifically and expressly required by law. Employee will not communicate with, answer questions from, or direct the activities of any of Employer's employees during the term of this Temporary Settlement Agreement. Employee will communicate only with and through District Legal Counsel. This is intended by both parties to be a temporary agreement entered into in order to allow the parties time to fully and finally resolve their disputes. A complete and final settlement agreement will be executed by both parties on or before April 24, 2013. If such agreement is not executed on April 24, 2013 the Board will revisit and reconsider all issues on the Closed Session agenda of April 16, 2013. This agreement is made between Oceano Community Services District (Employer) on the one hand, and Thomas Geaslen (Employee) on the other on April 16, 2013.
