Dear: New OCEDC Board Member Congratulations on your recent election and/or selection to the Oakland County Employment Diversity Council’s Board of Directors. It is my honor and privilege to welcome you as a member of the Board of Directors of this dynamic organization! We are thrilled that you have agreed to serve on our Board and look forward to working with you.  Your knowledge, expertise and vision will be an invaluable contribution in helping us to become the best diversity council in America!  We recognize that you have a demanding schedule and are extraordinarily busy.  Therefore, we will try our best to limit our imposition on your time.  The Board meets no more than once a month, usually the second Tuesday of each month, and we adhere to a strict agenda and time schedule (6:00 PM until 8 pm PM).  We also are authorized by our bylaws to allow Board members to attend meetings via teleconference.   You will find attached additional information about the OCEDC, including our History, Mission, Purpose, Goals, Bylaws, and Board of Director Position Description.  In the meantime, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at 248-858-5204.  Sincerely,    Frank Russell – OCEDC Chairperson
