Summary: The purpose of this activity is to give the students an

opportunity to learn about the five oceans through an interactive

activity.

students will be able to answer questions about the material with

Ocean Facts! • Did you know that there are five oceans on Earth?

• The five oceans are called the Pacific Ocean,

Atlantic Ocean, Indian Ocean, Arctic Ocean, and

Southern Ocean.

• These oceans cover more than 71% of the Earth’s

surface and are the largest bodies of water in the

world!

• The largest oceans are the Pacific, Atlantic, and

the Indian Oceans.

The Pacific Ocean

• The Pacific Ocean is the largest

ocean in the world.

• It covers more than 30% of the
