Ocean Society of India (OSI) is a registered professional Society, eight years old now and growing from strength to strength with the active support received from the Ocean science and technology community. OSI has life members located in all parts of India. In the beginning OSI had conducted 1-day national workshops with invited talks by eminent experts on some selected topics at CMFRI, Kochi in March 2007 and at NIO, Goa in March 2008. So far three conferences i.e., OSICON-09; OSICON-11 and OSICON-13 were held in Visakhapatnam, Chennai and Pune respec-tively. OSI is extremely happy to invite the community once again to its 4th national conference (OSICON-15) which is scheduled to be held at National Institute of Oceanography, Goa during 22-24 March 2015.Our main thrust for this conference would be “Oceanic Processes along the Coasts of India”. OSICON-15 provides a forum to bring together scientists, academicians, researchers, engineers, technologists and other personnelin the marine related fields to share their knowledge for the benefit of all.As it was done in the case of previous OSICON’s, we solicit research contributions, abstracts and full papers for OSICON-15 through e-mail. For this purpose we have a separate e-mail address [email protected] This conference-OSICON-15 invites active participation from all branches of marine sciences, engineering and technologies. OSI considers it as a proud privilege to conduct this conference at National Institute of Ocean-ography (CSIR-NIO), Goa which is a premier institution dealing with the R&D in ocean sciences. OSI is further encouraged through the active support being received from various other marine institutions like National Institute of Oceanography (NIO), National Institute of Ocean Technology (NIOT), National Centre for Antarctic Ocean Research (NCOAR), Naval Physical & Oceanographic Laboratory (NPOL), Indian Navy (IN), Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services (INCOIS), Space Applica-tions Centre (SAC), National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC), India Meteorological Department (IMD), Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES), Department of Space (DoS), Defence Research & Development Organi-sation (DRDO), Department of Science & Technology (DST) and various academic institutions like, Cochin University of Science & Technology (CUSAT), Andhra University (AU), Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and Indian Institute of Technology (IITs), Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies (KUFOS).

Keeping the focus on “Oceanic Processes along the Coasts of India”, we invite papers on topics of interest to Ocean Scientists / Academicians /Engineers and Technologists in the following areas:
