MUST and Have to

We use Must to give orders to ourselves or other people .The obligation comes from the speaker.(I personally feel it is necessary)

I really must stop smoking You must be here before eight oclockI must post this letter before six oclock.

Mustnt is used to express prohibitions or an obligation not to do something.

You mustnt smoke in class.You mustnt forget your keys.

We use Have to to talk about an obligation that comes from outside perharps because of a law, or a rule, or because some other person has given orders.Compare:I must give up smoking.( I want to )I ve got to stop smoking.Doctors orders.I have to work late tonight .My boss says so.

We often use the infinitive to talk about a persons purpose why he or she does something.I sat down for a minute to rest.Im going to Austria to learn German.He got up early to study for the test.

Intention-I intend to buy a new bycicle.I have no intention of going to Per.Where do you intend to spend your holidays next Summer?

Going to + infinitive is very commonly used to indicate intention
